Piling items next to machines?

Piling items next to machines?

I have read in several posts that you can pile up to 51 items next to a machine. I pile ore in the same way. Is there any indicator that lets you know when you have hit that limit? I would hate to be wasting my shovels.

I store tons of ores, never got a limit warning.

On others machine, when you have at least 50 waiting, you can not queue anymore: "Production queue is full".

Seems it's limitless when it comes to the ore and mine. My nephew picked up 500+ ore just the other day, he likes the stars we get when he picks it up. Told him halfway that that was enough and to save some for another day. He kept picking up ore until my barn was full when I wasn't looking. What a bugger!

It could be worse...

My son loves to catch the fish with the lures. After fishing for a while, he told me that he had kept "throwing rocks at the birds to make them go away" and had caught 25 fish. Too many fish in my barn PLUS wasted diamonds.

I couldn't be aggravated with him because he was so proud of his big haul of fish.

Awww!!! That's right, you can't be ma d at the little man!!

I used to pile tons and tons of ore and never hit a limit. I did the same recently with fishing lures. I must have had over 100 because it took me a week to get rid of them all (my fishing box is at 45 and was full, so the lures piled outside the machine)! Lol.

I have never actually tried this. Hmmm... How do you throw another mining tool at it without actually picking up the ore?

What you store outside the machines and mine does not take up room in the barn. Since the mine is only used for getting ore (and diamonds), and there is no limit on how much you can store outside it, it is especially well suited for piling or stacking.

Sorry if this is a daft question but how do you pile stuff by machines? If my machines have finished producing what I've put in the slots, if I tap the machine to add more, it always picks up the finished stuff first and sends it to the barn. Is there a way to leave the produce by the machine and still add more to the empty slots?

Hey spanner :)

If you make sure your barn is full then it can't pick up anything else but you can continue extracting ore or whatever machine just make sure your barn is full before you put ingredients into the machine because each time you do that you make room in your barn lol :)
