In addition to what's already been mentioned, the logic of the supposed "code" wouldn't pull bases out after a week. The "last attack > 7 days" piece would keep it in the attack queue infinitely.

2500 gems = 2-3 hours at Mcdonalds bro. Less time farming, more time flipping burgers TH8.

userNoOfDaysSinceLastAttack = number of days since the base owner did their last attack. This coupled with the 2 days since they last logged in would mean the base was inactive and removed ;)

badLoot++; should have been a little sign to others though :)

4 You're kidding right? Sizeable? If it was sizeable people wouldn't be farming in low leagues, they'd be farming in as high league as they could because the bonus was so good. The bonus at Masters started to make a difference I admit, but that's 75,000 gold not the pitiful 13,000 to 34,000 in Gold I to Crystal II.

So I've been looking at loot, bases, trophy levels, and activity levels and I've found out some very profound thing about the game.

1: every inactive base will reach a level of equilibrium

A base's equilibrium is where on defense it gains around as many trophies as it loses. This means that by finding out the general level and type of base you want to farm you can project where that type of base's equilibrium will be and can then farm at that trophy level for the best loot.

2: equilibriums change

This means that with each loot system change, and the progression of players every type of base's equilibrium will go either up or down. Your job as a player is to constantly reassess the situation so you can find the new equilibrium.

3: emotions can drive the game

People will always get bored with farming. A small portion are patient enough to max out their bases without ever trophy pushing, but most at one time or another will try to test their base. 4: bonuses can help

Many people trophy hunt by picking off town halls this is relatively cheap and at between 1800-2200 can be very lucrative because of a sizeable loot bonus.

5: gems aren't as scarce as you think

Most people don't realize how many gems are actually in the game game. Obviously clearing obstacles gets gems, but ppl usually end up spending them on very small things like a barrack boost or collector boost or even a building speed up. I did some math and found that if you don't spend any you can make 7.5 gems per day. At that rate in 1 year you would have around 2,500 enough to buy your third and fourth builder with 1,000 to spare. That doesn't even take into account the gems that you start with and the ones you get from achievements. Although if you must boost at least wait till the holidays when they have the 1 gem boosts

In conclusion by examining the game closely you can find many useful tips and tricks. So what have you found out?

Edit: obstacles give more gems per day, I think 10, not so sure. Spawn rate is 8 hours (in my belief), so maximum per year(of 365 days) is 10,950.

I see your point but my point I believe was lost on you. What I ment was that when using an extremely low resource attack strategy at 2000 trophies you can make a small profit and since this strategy can be done in quick succession you can manage to make good money in a relative short time though this strategy will never replace farming in its most basic form

First of all, how is this psychology? That isn't the right word to use for what you are writing, though I do agree with what you have stated in your opening post. That is why you can find so many inactive bases in so many different ranges, the fact of the matter is that what league division holds the most inactives?

Equilibrium seems an interesting concept. I will grow my mini to a TH7 (with max level pumps/drills) and test this equilibrium theory. Which does make sense. And as you said, equilibrium is subject to change and can be very wide. As for people trashing on equilibrium, he never said the range wasn't wide. The level of base also counts. Here is where the actual balance would come from though, people doing collector only raids and people going for 50%
