He quoted some code, if it's not fake then I wanted to know where it was from. Is there an issue here?

Unless I am mistaken or misunderstanding what is being said, I think the idea of "equilibrium" must be incorrect. If, amost people are suggesting, bases get taken out of the queue to be attacked, then of course the number of trophies appears to stay the same. No one is attacking them! There is no way to lose nor gain trophies, hence the "equilibrium". But this isn't because they are somehow winning exactly the same number of games as they are losing. (Well, maybe it is, but that number is 0/0)
There are 2 things funny about it, first is that you would even believe that code is real when it's obviously a joke.
Second would be that you think the source code of Clash of Clans is publicly available, there'd be 50 knock offs in less than a day if they made it public.
Oh and the other funny part is that I read on the forum that you said you've written code for games before which makes it all the more funny since a programmer would know the 2 above things i said. Come on, badloot++ really? And opensource clash of clans xD
7.5 gems a day? Where do you get this number from?
Definitely not true for me.
Before the update, you can get on average 1 gem a day from clearing obstacle.
After the update, it has been increased. But for some reason, the spawning rate has slowed down for me compared with my clanmates, and definitely way less than 7 gems a day.
His number mostlikely comes from the following logic: 1 obstacle every 8 hours so 3 per day, obstacles give 0-6 gems, on average they give around 2.5-3 so 7.5-9 gems per day.
But from experience i'm getting only 2 obstacles a day with an average of 2 gems so i'd say 4 gems a day and not 7.5. Didn't really test it long, just an estimate from my observation.
Prior to the update you had an equal chance to gain 0, 1, 2, or 3 gems from an obstacle. Meaning on average if you cleared 4 obstacles you would end up with 6 gems (this is over time, as it would require a long study, not a mere 4-8 obstacles). So that means your average gem per obstacle would be 1.5 gems per obstacle. With a single obstacle spawning every 8 hours that means you get 3 obstacles per day, and over time that equates to 4.5 gems per day. However that was with the old pre-update gem count.
post update obstacles have an equal chance to yield 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 gems when removed. So over a long period of time removing 7 obstacles would yield 21 gems. That's an average of 3 gems per obstacle removed, meaning 3 obstacles per day would give an average of 9 gems per day.
i have no idea where the OP got his value of 7.5 from. But as stated in his OP all this is a little beyond the comprehension of the average forumer like you or myself.
sorry bud, its 9 gems a day on average not the numbers you listed.
0+1+2+3+4+5+6=21.
21 / 7 =3
3*3=9
