What is your leader-coleader-elder ratio?

2 part question really. First of all I'm just curious with the new co-leader function what your stats are for co-leader and elder in your clan. How many elders and co-leader do you have?

Second part of the question is if your clan actually holds any importance to the titles? Does the structure of actually having these titles mean anything to the clan as a whole. We know many people love to brag about how they are elder/leader etc, but do these titles actually mean anything to the way your clan operates overall?

I just gave leadership up as we like to switch it around every now and then and I'd had it for many months. Then, the new leader went and made 11 co-leaders! So, in our clan of 48 we have;

1 leader
11 co-leadersw
5 elders

Needless to say I've already voiced that I think the structure just created is silly but most of them say the titles are needless and as a tight knit clan everyone should be equal enough anyways. Part of me agrees with this, but also with Clan Wars eventually coming out (yes, I think it is coming eventually) I think it does and will make a difference. I am the only CoC obsessed player in the clan with by far highest playing time/donates/level/stats etc but they still don't agree with my wanting to change all the leadership back as with 11 co-leaders and 5 elders it's just silly!

Thoughts? What about your clan?

But why? What do you actually do in your roles that make this such a trustworthy position? You have a reeaaaallly inactive clan as it is with lower donates so why do the elders and co leaders help?

1 leader, 1 co leader, like 5 elders.... 40 members over all 47 members

Out of 50 members: 1 leader 2 coleaders, 12 elders.

15 players in authority, 35 regular members

Because I know them in real life

45 members in my clan but have about 15 elders and 0 co leaders... Not really a point to making any because no one in my clan is active enough to care

Cuz im in an air force job specific clan.. So all the members are in the same job, a lot are friends and would be upset if I kick them. It's pretty frustrating to have over half my members only play like 10 seconds a day, log on to collect recourses then log off

I think 15 people in leadership positions and then 30-35 clan members is a good ratio. We use the co-leader position to help me out since I am on the game at different points then them. We also have people across the world so the elders serve as a member of authority on 24/7 to accept new members, monitor the clan, etc.

What would really help is a way to communicate with my elders/co leaders through a elder chat or something because right now I have to spend limited character clan mail to try to talk to the elders.

I am irl friends with most of my clan, so 1 leader, around 8 co-leaders, rest elders. Elders don't get much power as it is, so why not make all my friends elder?

1 leader - 7 co-leaders - 26 elders and the rest are fairly new-ish. Clan has 48 members in total.

Why so many elders?
Partly because the clans belief was that everyone is equal (I joined the clan - I wasn't leader originally) and I'm fairly swift in kicking people who don't comply with the clan rules early on. If they survive a waiting period they cant be bad... surely?
A large part because the clan was set to invite only as certain people kept joining back after being kicked - so we had to have elders to accept new requests.
And partly because members are spread around the world - if a new member starts being abusive I need them kicked there and then - not hours later.

Besides the younger members of our clan definitely see elder as something to be proud of and provides a sense of responsibility and recognition. They love recruiting and are very enthusiastic. They welcome new members - explain the rules and check compliance from time to time- can't fault them. They also know that I will demote them if they don't comply with the clan rules.... For some members, usually those of us in the > 25 age category, are indifferent to being made elder. It's nice but it doesn't really bother them if they just remain members.

Why so many co-leaders? sigh. there are around 18 original members and several more who have been there for months - all active. It was a very hard choice. I'd asked for people weeks ago to help me manage the clan more.... 5 volunteered, another is my brother and the final one I expected to volunteer the first time round..... Basically I think we have the globe covered now. I hope.

Despite rumors that exist in my clan I am not ever-present. I do sleep occasionally, work full time and try to have a social life....but please don't tell them that!

1-1-4 in total of 20 members, I am the coleader, only very nice active people get a rank

1 leader (obviously), 5 co-leaders and around 20 elders.

For a normal clan that would probably be an outrage but for my "request and leave" clan I think it's quite appropriate. :)

Dude 11 coleaders massive. I only gave 3 people co leader. Elder should be 8-9 maybe 10

Rank is not obsolete in our clan so earning one can be quite a triumph!

3 is the max number of co-leader roles that I will give. Co-leader is a rank that comes with responsibility. Only those who are very active, mature, helpful and know how to organize clan, making events may have a chance at it.
Also, 3 co-leaders and 1 leader are enough to cover different time zones.

Frankly, 11 co-leader is way too much, might as well give the rest elder. But that's your choice, so I respect that.

1-3-45. Really 2 of us are co leaders, my main & alternate and another's main & alternate. So many elders because they earned it by donations & activity, we've been full for about a month now. One member just left yesterday, first opening we've had in a while.

Turns out in the clan we've elected 3 co-leaders.

3 people who help in all aspects of the clan such as recruitment, management and generally online a lot

There shouldnt be a set number of elders/ co leaders

If you trust and friends with all 50 of your members then give them all elder.

For me it comes down to the relationship I have with the player.

Don't care if he has over 900000 trophys or level 6 units or donations a gerzillion troops.

If i trust the guy and the time is right he will be promoted

We have 1 0 6 and the rest regular members. If ya have the right elders coleader is pointless. They can keep elders in line. If ya need that you have the wrong elders.

My thinking behind this: well elder I've found to have very little actual power so I base elder purely on donations for me that mean above 100 donates with at least a 1:1 ratio. As far as co-leaders I'm still thinking but generally I believe that co-leaders should have atleast a 3:2 donates ratio, over 200 donates, been around for atleast 1 month, active daily. Now obviously there are exceptions to all these rules and every clan will be run differently but this seems to work well for me.

Elders now has much less power compared to before, frankly, they're next to useless now.

Wow, only 100-200 donates! That typically takes our leader/co/elders less than 1-2 hours of playing time to get on any given day. I guess my clans donates aren't as low as I thought they may be :/

Ita all about clan safety here. A co leader or their kid spouse friend family can boot the clan. Just like all the clan trolling going on when elders didn't havecool down

We have one leader, one co-leader (me), and at the moment everyone else is elder.
Now before you start saying "everyone Elder is stupid", it is for this season only, we are sick and tired of everyone wanting elder and in the past have only given elder to loyal members, i.e those who stay in the clan for 3 seasons.
However, we have decided to give everyone two weeks as elder to show them its not all its cracked up to be, and then keeping only those with 500 donations and requests on as elder.
This will be done every season end and has already sparked up a lot of activity and chat amongst those members who usually sit back and remain silent.
We have vowed to only have one co- leader and may move this around should myself or the leader be absent for a period of a week or more.
