Town Hall 8 to Masters [My Journey]

First off I'm gonna set it straight that this is not a guide. There are so many great guides on the forums for balloonions at town hall 8 so I don't think I need to make another one. For my army comp I used 26 balloons and 35 minions and two rage and one heal spell. I felt that this worked perfectly because that lvl 5 balloons don't have the hp that lvl 6 have so you will need more of them.

I decided to do this because I thought that it would be awesome and I needed to show all my friends that I could do this. My clan pushstarted February 1st but I overestimated the time it would take to get to masters so I started 2 days early, on January 30. I started at about 1400 trophies and just sniped my way up to 2000. I got tired because it got late so I called it quits and trained my first balloonion army for the next day.
The next day January 31st I woke up to find that I had won 80 trophies from defense! I was raiding nonstop and blew through 400 gems that day and finished at about 2330. Today I woke up but was only able to get to 2380 before I had to go paintballing. When j got back home, I set my mind to getting to 2500 by tonight. But I kept pushing on and found myself at 2500 with time left. At the normal time I go to sleep I had 2525 but I wasn't about to give up yet. The only problem was I was moving at such a slow speed. Everyone was max town hall 10 or 9 and I had to search for over 30 mins for some raids. But lo and behold at about midnight I hit masters with a +22 raid.

I would like to specially thank my clan BloodOath for helping me and giving me troops that without them I couldn't have gotten to masters. I would also like to say thanks to a clan mate who gave me an iTunes gift card to help out. I just wanted to share this so I may be able to inspire someone to try this just as I did. I will keep going and am hoping for masters 2. I would be happy to answer any questions and pm me if you need anything extra. Sorry about the blurness of picture. Here it is for proof

Congrats! But how and why did it take 400 gems to get to masters? I assume you also boosted barracks?

This isn't even hard anymore, most people can do it without gems

Great job, really nice to see all the awesome things my fellow TH8 clashers can do.

Good luck on getting to Masters 2, would love to see an update on this

Nice job! I know what it's like. Just bc other ppl have done it, doesn't mean its not a good accomplishment. Enjoy those 1000 gems!

The gems I used were for spell factory and I ran out of elixir once.

Well, lesson learned! Always go push with a full tank at least, and don't lose, I highly depend on the league bonus. :)

Congrats mate for this one of a kind achievement. Town hall8 at masters is simply amazing. I expected you would reach crys2/1 but you surpassed my expectations :) 👍 only 2nd day of our push and you have achieved it. Really impressive. Keep up the good work ! Cheers !
