What should i spend with 1200 gems?

I don't like telling people to do with their money/gems but I'd say save up and get another builder!

If you want 800 more gems to get that 5th builder I'd advice you to do a trophy push to master league 3 for the 1000 gems. You will be able to get the 5th builder that way!

I have level 5 troops and i cant get to master that way but if i were to TH snipe I don't have time for that because I am a student with lots of homework and activities

I agree about the 5th builder. But if you don't want to save for the builder than I suggest that you use the gems to rush upgrades. When you have the resources to do an upgrade but not a builder, simply rush the shortest upgrade. This will allow for continuos farming and upgrades for a time. It's a super fast way to progress.
I never buy resources with gem because I can get them "free" thru the game by raiding but I can't raid time. I can only buy time with gems :) I agree with others that saving DE for the bk isn't as hard as it seems.
As with everything in this game tho, the decision is totally up to you!
