1600-1650 for gold and elixir
I think 1500 is ideal for gold farming
I would try silver 1 or maybe gold 3. Try other languages as well.
To be completely honest, I believe that 1250-1300 is the perfect place to farm. Let me give you my reasons why:
1) Players in this area are pretty new, but not too new. They have given time into the game, but are not quite to the point where it is loads of fun. Therefore, many players quit at this trophy level. They leave their mines and collectors completely full. About 1 in 10 times, I can find a base that I can drop 50 goblins and get 100,000+ gold and elixir. Using this strategy, I was able to get 8 million gold in 4 or 5 hours.
2) Players in this area do not understand the exposed town hall of a farmer, due to their inexperience with the game. They will attack your town hall and leave you with a free shield overnight. You can leave it be and sleep in peace, knowing that no one will steal your precious resources.
3) Occasionally, you run into my favorite bases. Level 10 town halls with level 3 walls. I hit one of these yesterday. I stole 360,000 gold, 320,000 elixir, and 2,000 dark elixir. I only used about half my troops also.
I find that gold 3 is ideal, around 1400-1500.
