OK - so this isn't a clan wars thread... but check this out
What if there was an option where you could fine tune your attacking strategy and/or test out your base's defense by practicing against your clan mates?
in this scenario, you would flag an icon similar to the 'request troop' button but would say something different (of course) 'duel requested?'... I dunno
If your clan mate accepted the request, the 2 of you would be pitted in a mock battle scenario. The attacking member would be able to raise an army comprised of whatever troops they currently have leveled and at their current allowed capacity. These troops will spawn instantly, cost no elixer but cannot be used outside of the 'sparring room.'
when all troops are selected, the normal 30 second countdown begins and the attacker begins his normal raid while the defender gets to watch in real time. Obviously no gold / elixer can be looted in this scenario.
Some 'musts' to make this work: both users must be online. If you had a request out and drop offline your request will subsequently cancel. This will ensure villages will still be available in the normal 'next' raid pool.
You will be able to stay in the sparring room until one of the 2 people leave. While in there you can raid and/or defend as many times as you'd like and can pass an icon between the 2 people as to which person is the attacker and which the defender. Since these troops cost no elixer and do not exist outside of the room... You can continue to grow your traditional raiding army while you 'spar'.
While in the sparring room, global and clan chats can still be pulled up as well as a 3rd chat icon that will let you type exclusively with your 'training partner'
What do y'all think? I'm sure there's lots that could be tweaked but i think this would allow for a fun option while in down times between raids and also let people experiment with different army builds they wouldn't otherwise try. Also it would enhance the social aspect of the game.
Thoughts?
