New Trap Idea: Bottomless Pit

The Bottomless Pit. If troops walk over this trap they will fall underground to their inevitable deaths. The trap is covered with leaves and branches on the battle field, but when troops step on it the leaves and branches will collapse under the troops, and they will fall. This trap is a 2x2 trap. Available at Town Hall Level 8, you can level it up so it can fit more troops (houseing space) this makes it so Pekkas and golems can't fall in the hole since it's full. This can't be OP, you only get 1, only 1 of all of the TH 8, 9, and 10s. But to make sure this is not OP, the trap will be visible to attacker, there will be a slight dis coloration to the ground locating the trap. (Easy to spot)

2+2+2+2+2+2 = 12, so we may as well call 12 a 2, that's the logic? A bottomless pit is the exact opposite of a spring trap & would add a completely different aspect and visual to the game play. Not saying yay or nay to the idea, I just don't get all the stretchy comparisons to something else.

Maybe offer constructive criticisms as in, maybe the pit isn't bottomless and maybe it can only hold a certain amount worth of housing space e.g., a level 1 pit holds 10 HS = 10 archers or 2 giants & can be upgraded to a level 5 pit which holds 30 HS worth of troops. Not trying to offend anyone, again, purpose of an open forum is to bring positive results to the game we all love to play & not to eagerly dismiss others ideas (which reading through the forums, happens all to often). If that were the case, why suggest anything new if we just want to see who can deduce new ideas down to that which already exists.

that prety much has the same efect as a spring trap exsept its more powerfull spring traps are powerfull enough we dont need this

Why not? Pekkas are OP we need some kind of defense against them because spring traps won't work on them

My idea is unique and creative, please don't turn it down, this is a build up to the spring trap or even a new trap that can defend pekka and golems easily.

Good idea, but this is basically the same as a spring trap. Instead of making a whole new trap, then why not just ask for more spring traps? And spring traps don't kill pekkas and golems for a reason. This would be way to op. Losing a golem to a 1x1 space trap? That would be devastating and to think that there would be lots more of those throughout the village. This is a good idea, but there is a reason why there isn't a trap that can kill pekkas and golems.

It's a 2x2 trap and there's only 1 per base, it's at the end of the tread read it

Great idea! If people still complain it's still to OP, maybe make it visable to attackers. It'll still be affective because we can't control units' AI.

Well it may be creative, but it is anything but unique. I have seen this idea many times when I have went through the forums. I vote no. I am not making a P.E.K.K.A., spending all the time and elixir, to have it disappear into a dark hole.

Let's be simple and honest.
It's a trap that has the exact same effect as the spring trap except it affects pekkas.

Now, he was commenting on another post, which had suggested that the trap could be visible to attackers (Because it is so powerful.) He was saying 'good idea' to that post, not to his own.

You clearly have not read this thread very carefully.
1. He stated very clearly in his opening post that is was visible, so he already made the idea himself.
2. He said in a couple posts up that he only said "Nice idea", to get a +1 compliment.

I drop all my troops and all 100% of them get sucked into this trap!
I scream out loud, "&@$! this $&@/"


I would say yay if maybe troops see this trap after one thing gets sucked in and run around it, but that would ruin the point because it would just be a spring trap that affects pekkas and golems.

I like the idea very much. One idea I am not sure about is why you only get one, if its visible to the attacker, at least have 2 in the battlefield. It seems much more balanced. Be sure to include how much spaces (troop capacity) can fall through the pit at once and how much it costs to buy/reload. Otherwise, this isn't such a bad idea at all!;)

It isn't OP. and with my idea I think that the trap can be balanced perfectly and bring a new generation of new bases and defense strategies, push AND farm! Also, lets keep the arguing to a minimum;)

I would have to agree that it would be overpowered as if your golem or pekka dies thats a pretty important component of your raid so maybe you could just have them be slowed down by it and when they do walk over it other troops are become aware of its presence. What would be cool is if you could use the troops that filled up the pit as a sort of clan castle except only on offense

A stratagie that would make it less OP would be placing a few barbs in front to set of the trap and they fall in, and the pekka will be smart and not be a green koopa (falls of ledges by committing suicide by dumbness)

Yeah, like you can control the barbs in the middle of the base.

There's a reason they make it so Spring Traps don't affect PEKKAs and golems...

PEKKAs are not OP... We have hidden teslas that do double damage (or something against PEKKAs dont remember) and no I don't think its a great idea.

I agree with DoritosNinja here. This goes in the game and it takes away all the fun and strategy. Really rethink your ideas KMRS. It can trap P.E.K.K.As and Golems? Just no.

Seem like a really good idea however it would be to easy to take down pekkas!

I personally dont think we need anymore traps

Just a reverse spring trap in my eyes

Just a powered up spring trap where troops die to falling down instead of flinging up.

Exactly! It's just another spring trap, except it affect PEKKAs and Golems! There's a reason Supercell made it so that spring traps didn't affect them.
