A stratagie that would make it less OP would be placing a few barbs in front to set of the trap and they fall in, and the pekka will be smart and not be a green koopa (falls of ledges by committing suicide by dumbness)

Yeah, like you can control the barbs in the middle of the base.

There's a reason they make it so Spring Traps don't affect PEKKAs and golems...

Well, Pekkas are OP so we need a good and a better defense against them, this bottomless pit idea is the problem solver, besides its a great idea do you think?

PEKKAs are not OP... We have hidden teslas that do double damage (or something against PEKKAs dont remember) and no I don't think its a great idea.
