The Scout

Description: Known primarily for their incredible eyesight, Scouts can reveal the unseen.

How to use the Scout:

The Scout is mainly used in the 30 second pre-battle phase/prep, here he runs around the village and reveals the amount of traps allowed for its level. The Scout can be used in the battle time, but it can be killed. The Scout doesn't cause the battle to begin, but when more troops are place or the allotted 30 seconds runs out, the battle begins.

What can the Scout reveal?

When the following traps are within the Scout's reveal radius the trap gets revealed.

Bombs/Giant Bombs
Spring Traps
Air Bombs/Seeking Air Mines
Hidden Tesla (Only 1)
Clan Castle Troops

What if a Scout is in my Clan Castle?

Offensively: Has same function. If accompanied with other troops it does begin the battle.
Defensively: If a Scout is placed by the attacker, within the Clan Castle radius, the Scout appears out of the defending Clan Castle. The Scout then warns the defenses and the battle begins.

Miscellaneous:

If a Rage Spell is used, and the Scout is within the radius, it will have the same DPS as the Barbarians you can train. Although the Scout can see far a way, he can't see things at short distances until he is enraged, then he sees his sword.

The Scout is a tall, skinny man who looks like he went on a safari, lol. He has a pair of binoculars around his neck and a canteen around his shoulder. He wears black boots, long white socks, which are barely visible, greenish-gray shorts (with plenty of pockets), a collared shirt the same color as his shorts, and a hat with a brim all the way around. On his belt, there is a scabbard (look it up) with a sword in it.

NOTE: The Scout does have an ability, but I felt it would be too under powered to be the next DE troop.

*The Scout unarms the nearest traps. You DO NOT get to choose what traps to unarm

**Traps include, Bombs, Spring Traps, and Air Bombs. Not Giant Bombs, Seeking Air Mines, or Teslas.

This could work

This idea could prove useful as of the bomb update. It's reasonably fair, but i find the ability to draw cc from anywhere is a bit op and unfair. I think it should be able to show you what troops are in the cc instead. Awesome idea though

I also agree that luring CC troops might be a bit too OP, especially with the little capacity of 3.
Showing what troops inside are a bit underpowered though... It's a bit useless because you already start the battle, and it won't affect too much

What if we make it a bit unique that Scout can be used on the 30s battle preparation and can show you the hidden things and their positions (tesla/traps/cc troops) but still doesn't count as starting battle?

And they can be used as normal troops (after the 30s time run out) to de-active the traps?

I think this troop idea could be balanced and useful without being OP... I don't think they should be able to actually destroy traps, but giving away the location of them and somehow providing information on what the cc holds (without luring them out) would help stradegize the attack. Good idea :D

The hogs are op and 2 giant booms togather only can stop them with this new troop we can't stop hogs unless u have inferno tower so I would rather not to have it but great idea anyway

Defensively I don't think it would do anything (I'm open to ideas), but offensively it does the same thing as if you were actually using it. If you placed the Clan Castle it would start the battle as usual.

He did. He means because it can reveal where the giant bombs are, Hoggers can use it to make those Hogs even more OP (with avoiding the Giant Bombs when stating the attacks)

Good idea, but yes, this idea could use a lot of tweaking. Very creative mindset though, I would have never thought of a troop similar to this. Its job is pretty important, so I suggest you make it much more expensive and its training time longer for balancing the use of the troop if it were ever to be added to CoC.

Okay let's say the scout can destroy the closest trap. But what if that trap is inside the walls is this a troop that can disregard this? Just curious would love to see it balanced out.

This would be awesome to reveal traps, it would be so helpful. There's just one problem... if it were to be added they would have to make it either a lvl 11 barrack or lvl 6 dark barrack troop since they can't just add a troop to the middle of the barracks.

He could do 10 DPS Lvl 1 and 20 lvl 3 and it takes him time to disarm a trap 5-15 sec.!:p

Hmmm.... I think that the Scout should only be able to disarm one trap (starting at level 3 and increasing by one each level) and only destroys building when enraged. I don't know if that's what you meant. :/

What if it had a circular area reveal that increased by level?
You can place it anywhere including in their base, but it can't destroy traps.
On defense, maybe a scout in the clan castle would cancel out an attacking scout? for example: 1 scout is in a clan castle. someone is attacking and places two scouts. the first scout placed would be shown with an animation killed by the clan castle scout. the next scout would be used as normal. good idea. i wish there were a ton more troop possibilities in game.

I literally thought about posting about this, the thoughts you put in here are just what i couldnt spill out of my head. I want to add that it may become an even better idea if it had the same use as a wallbreaker, as in it would disable the first trap, or defensive unit it saw for a number of seconds depending on its level, just one before it would explode or whatever.

and it could also show a graphic that would have a exclamation mark when it sees a trap that is unseen to us, the scout could disable one trap, and then die, but it would have very low life like a wall breaker, if this semi-idea of mine isnt liked then forget it stick to the original concept of the thread but if you like it then please agree with me :)

Really Cool Idea!

I had similar ideas and I really think that they should make a troop that can make traps and hidden teslas appear. The "scout" has lots of great perks without being too OP: great job! Hopefully someone from SuperCell reads this...

This is a great idea. What about research times for upgrades and cost? I had an idea similar to this except it was a werewolf that would run through the village in a straight line and reveal whatever traps and teslas it came across then run into the forest �� really great idea though.

Okay first of all, the upgrade prices are way too high for just a troop that reveals traps. My question is can they fight like barbarians? I like the concept of the Scout, but if it can't fight then I don't like it. You need to change the upgrade prices and lower them since they can be unlocked at town hall 6.. Also you need to make it so we know what Town Hall we can upgrade them to. If those three things are fixed then this idea should be added.

Those prices were just ideas, so thanks. If you read the whole thread you would know the answer to your question. You're complaining about the smallest of things that Supercell could do themselves.

You could just change them.. I know Supercell could do it, but if you did it then it would take less time for Supercell to think of good HP and etc then they can work on the troop and put it out faster. You're complaining about a suggestion to change them. You said share any opinions so I was sharing my opinion.

If nobody is talking on it then just leave it alone.. It's annoying when you have a page of mainly you talking. I don't like the idea because traps are hidden and should stay hidden. I just don't get it..

CoC needs defenses not troops

A skilled TH9 with witches, golems, etc... can 2 star ALL town hall 10s, infernos were good at downgrading the hogs, but what about witches??? There needs to be something done....

sorry i dont see this happening at all...the very idea of the traps is to be hidden and they can do serious damage if placed really well...predicting trap placement is also a skill that should be picked up by practice..

imo a scout will defeat the very purpose of the traps being hidden in the first place, no matter the cost to train or space required..so no

It reveals the first tesla it comes across, the rest stay hidden. It isn’t all that big of a difference, but it might help a bit.

Would this spell and or troop destroy the teslas?

The Scout is cool but I think the trap master has a good roll to. The TM would have stealth and use the traps on other troops and builds. Your thoughts.

12 minutes to train is a reasonable time because it helps out A TON in a raid so i felt it needed to be fairly high. :)

It'd be a good disarmer when it's more leveled up, but that's not the main purpose. It is meant to lead your way around traps.

About the 30 secs prebattle.....

The idea it can unarm traps beofre the battle has even BEGUN is a bit op... it would really be used in a revenge to make the apponant lose gold by rearming and not losing ANY trophies. It a brilliant idea, but they would HAVE to activate battle for him to work with people. The whole idea of having clan castle troops is almost pointless for defence is people can tell what there is with only 6k elixir. Thats the nice ''supprise'' of raiding a person with troops in his/her clan castle.

The whole idea of having clan castle troops is almost pointless for defence is people can tell what there is with only 6k elixir. Thats the nice ''supprise'' of raiding a person with troops in his/her clan castle.

I don't think this idea would work out. Like one guy said you need big bombs and spring traps to kill hogs, so people would use like four of them and then hog spam. Traps are there for a reason, to protect your base. If some traps make you lose, too bad, you use them too. Don't think of a troop that will prevent you from failing, actually think about how to attack people. Stop bumping your thread. Would tesla towers pop up? Too over powered. SC would probably never ever implement this.

Okay, I see your point. You don't have to hate on the idea even further after you've put your point across. I don't care about trophies and I never go within walls so why would this prevent me from failing? I'm bumping it once every 4 days in the most inactive sub-forum, so stop complaining about that.
