Tom discount and balloon?

Everyone watch the number of days you get for Tom-I just got shorted by 3 days-made a new thread about it, but I wanted everyone aware. I submitted a ticket through support, so I'm sure they will resolve it promptly. Yes, I can write that with a straight face.

They aren't random like the diamond offers, these only appear straight after your current time with Tom expires. This offer will only be valid for a short time which basically mean you have to re-new Tom's contract as soon as it expires to get this deal.

I got it just in time but last time I was trying to get a screen shot and ended up not getting the screenshot or balloon.:( ha!

Seems the layout has been changed so the discount offer gives a more dramatic effect by making the frames bigger for space to add the original price below instead of just the discount % like previously. This is what I saw few minutes ago (and I got an gold voucher in the balloon):

Can anyone confirm that you get the discount offer even if you only hired Tom for 1 day?

He expires in 2 days for me and I want to take a break from him but greedy for the discount. I was thinking, if you get the offer even after hiring Tom for 1 day but plan plan to get him for 10 days (full price, 100 diamonds), it's better to pay 15 diamonds for 1 day and then get him for 10 days with 30% discount. Much cheaper. 11 days for 85 diamonds vs. 10 days for 100 diamonds.

I can confirm that you get the discount even if its just 1 day that you hire him
I always hire Tom just for 1 day and I've gotten the discount offer all 3 times ive hired him
I have never seen the balloon though... maybe you dont get it, or maybe i havent noticed
