I have just upgraded my lobster tank to hold three lobsters and am wondering if it's worth going any higher. How do people manage to keep an adequate number of fish and lobster with such limited fishing areas? I'm thinking if I have more than three lobsters going at any given time, plus the cages in the water to have lobsters ready when the pool is finished, I will barely have any fishing room available. And those upgrades are costing me valuable cash at this point.
They are pricy. I haven't done the last one yet, but you get diamonds and achievements for all. I haven't worked it all out yet, but I throw a few fishing nets and a few lobster pots every day and then lure fish from time to time too. Seems like it's working out so far, plus there are other dishes up the way that require lobster aside from the pizza that I have now, so....dunno. :)Quote:

I upgraded to max because I really didn't have anything else to do with my coins.
And I have actually used the full capacity. I don't really have a plan. I throw whatever I have into the water, and sometimes it's a lot of lobster traps.
Some people work their fishing in rotation: spend several days fishing and building up a fish filet stockpile, then switch to lobsters and build up a lobster supply.
This is what I do. I maxed out the lobster pool, because I'm trying to get all the achievements. While I'm lobster trapping, I make fish nets. After a day or two of lobster trapping, I switch to fishing with nets and start making lobster traps while I fish. Sometimes I'll take a day to just lure fish while I make a few more nets or traps. It's worked out good for me, as I always have the lobster and fish I need.Quote:

I upgraded to 6 lobsters for the achievement. I hardly fish with lures so I leave 6 traps out all the time, i dont harvest the on a regular basis though. I always have 6 in the pool and 6 caught. I use need almost all the time. I don't have enough vouchers to fish for the big fish so this works for me.
I never have enough fish or lobster. I need to get more organized about my fishing.
Any thoughts on the proper size for the tacklebox? At first I thought there was no point in expanding it at all, since you could just stack the lures/nets by the machines.
But I'm finding that a problem, now that there are lobster traps as well as nets and I'm using the occasional voucher to make lures instead of using just worms. I went up to 50 today. (My silo doesn't really need expansion, at least right now, so I could spare the SEMs.) Not sure if I'll go any bigger.
I put mine to 50 as well after getting the fishing area. My barn was full and I don't need the silo space as much as the barn space, so I figured why not? I use all 50 slots and the shelf to store stuff, I'm not seeing any great need to expand it again.

As for making money, the only truck orders I do ATM are jewelry as they make more than selling it and I get a voucher. I only do boat orders if they're easy. If its going to cost me a lot of time and coins for a boat, I just cast it off. I'll have plenty of time for those later. I mass produce casseroles, chocolate cakes, popsicles and coffee products and sell these in my RSS and make at least 20k a day on a slow day. If you have enough diamonds to hire tom, do it. Have him bring you 9 diamond rings each trip and sell those for max. That's a great money maker and if you want to make the diamonds back, split his trips between the rings and shovels and you'll get at least your investment back out of the mine.
