Definition of FARMING

I hear you say farming, i get the idea of gaining resources, but exactly HOW do YOU farm?

whats the deal with it?

Ive tried to get low trophies (from 1250 down to 200). Within 2 hours I was back up to 800 due to ppl attacking me and me winning. Was usually the one drop enemy that did it to me.

I also didnt understand the point becuz I was finding most towns with less than 1000 resources and not really anything I could go after.

I am aroun 1000 trophies now and i attack town with over 100k gold or elixir but I hear ppl talking about MILLIONS in a day.. how so? and are you using gems? im not willing to pay to buy gems to make the game faster, if thats needed then i guess i cant really do so.

any tips or ideas or thoughts. plz post.

Alright. For me, I'm TH7 lvl 57 with most things pretty maxed out (lvl 7 walls, lvl 11 gold mines, lvl 5 mortars, etc). I could easily stay in the 1600-1700 trophy range, but I intentionally lower my trophy count by exposing my Town Hall so that I am in the 1200-1300 range. I don't go lower than that because I find TH5 and lower bases so the penalty kicks in and I don't get much profit. But in the 1250 range, I regularly find 200-400k raids. About 30 minutes ago, I took over 500k off a TH9 who upgraded his base too early. My last raid a few mins ago got me 230k. If I'm real lucky, I could get 1m in an hour (500k gold/500k elixer).

So my definition of farming is intentionally lowering your trophy count in order find easier bases with lots of loot.

ok thanks. currently im lvl 39. th6. trophy count is 1033. would it be smart to lose some trophies or im in a good spot?

It's hard to say with just that info. You won't be able to really start making big money until you're TH7 (but don't rush TH7). My army size is about to be 200, and I have lvl 4 troops (minus balloons) and about to have lvl 2 dragons, so you can see there is a big difference between what's possible at TH6 vs TH7. You may want to try dropping to around 900 trophies and seeing if the loot is the same but with with weaker bases. Most people on here say that TH7 is the best place to be when farming, so you may just need to keep upgrading like normal, and then focus on a good farming strategy when you get TH7.

Not bad. You may want to move your TH outside your base. When your TH is inside, people who want trophies will usually go all out to attack it. You can also tighten up your def that way. If your focus is on farming, just make sure you're lvling up your farming troops (giants, gobs, wbs, etc). I wouldn't use balloons or wiz for farming (IMO). Try spending a day in the 900 range. You may also want to extend your search when you're looking to attack. I usually search 15-20 times, but I just took 210k/80k off a guy.

sounds good. ill give it a try. I left the town hall inside out of habit.

every time i get below 900 i get raided and win and it keeps bumping it up... guess that would change with the townhall outside the walls.

The definition of farming in this game is simply placing resources as a priority over trophies.

I farm by being level 74 and attacking people who are level 50.
