Update FEEDBACK

Well I don't see the point in the rage spell nerd but other than that I think that the update was well balanced Ik a lot of ppl have been angry about the lvl 6 minions not being able to take 2 hits from a lvl 12 archer tower to this I'd say that the balloon minion strategy is already a little op and with minions taking 2 hits it would make the high level gameplay dangerously unbalanced

I fully agree with this and similar posts. My recent max is 3,736 and I enjoy setting up nice defensive structures as well as attacking. I can't play 24 hours a day like some folk so can only execute say 4-5 attacks per day. The problem now is that villages from well below you can attack and guarantee victory so they take 15 - 20 cups a time. I generally only get offered 1 or 2 cups for a victory. My guess is this means players like me will start to drift down the rankings, get bored and move on to something else.

PS - it takes a lot of gems to execute a defensive strategy too!

Queen abilities should have longer invisible time.

Hog already overpriced before the update and now it cost even more.

TOTALLY DISSAPOINTED

I have been playing around with Valkyries to see how they perform. I have run various tests against Sherbert Towers mixing them up with different troops and have found I get my best score on Sherbert Towers with an army that has a bias towards max Valks. I can get 100% without spells or heroes using this approach. The result is much better than GOWIWI, dragons, balloons plus minions etc when used without spells or heroes. Message me if you want the details.

I am experimenting with valks in the real game at Champ and it doesn't work quite so well because I think they bunch up in just the wrong places then get killed with splash damage but I think I may persevere as it is a new challenge now that GOWIWI and dragons are boring. It also means I am giving some free points to a few lucky folk I mess up on! With lower training time and slightly lower space requirements they would be awesome.

Is anyone else trying this approach? It would be good to exchange ideas and watch a few attacks.

I don't notice any difference after the update, well maybe one or two extra gems from items, but that's it. I have read they have changed some things but only for top players, nothing that affects maybe 90% of us.

Hi, I like the game since 8/2012 and I'm always happy to discover a new update. Untill the last one.
The best defense is to attack, but didn't you forget something ? Rage 5 less powerfull - why ?! while you offer Freeze 5. The heroes 40 were already too much, such as freeze 4... Minions 6, too expansive for what they gain, didn't notice the difference (but the colour). So what ? Maybe it's easier to attack (not for me) but do you know that, sometimes, it's pleasant to win a def ? Enough with the champion's league for me, it's impossible to resist to heroes 40 with freeze 5 and and and. All max in my village (but the walls and the heroes). So, really disappointed, it's not funny anymore.
Valkyries aren't used ? 15 min to form ! Change that if you want us to play them.
Great idea the gems-box (but not released yet) and the trees that give more gems. 10 gems-2 hours, great too. Chat during replays is good. You should do something for the global chat which is awfull.
But I'm really missing tesla 8 or a 3rd Inf-Tower. Not enough time to attack 10 times a day, can't defend anymore... :( bye.

Ive finnally worked it out, why would supercell persist in this failed loot system when everyone wants it changed back? Well there is a minority of inactive players who rely on there mines for resourses, lord knows ive kicked a few out of my clan ' but the thing is they spend a lot of gems! most havent even learned how to attack yet! they buy there way through the game then complain about losing so much loot! well supercell you are a business and its your right to look after your profits but you are killing the game! the active players that attack up to 20 times a session dont care if they lose half a million each raid, averages and common sense tell you that you just attack more than you get attacked and your in front, please dont destroy this great game of yours, look after the active players and dont appease the non active

Love the Hero's new abilities, if only for the few extra troops. Can't comment on the minions as I am a town hall lv9 and still a bit away from a town hall upgrade. The extra gems is a nice touch and unexpected.
As for the clan new rankings, again it doesnt really affect me as I switch from leader to elder when I want a break from the game (does help being in a mainly adult clan).
I would say this is the best upgrade since I started playing many many months ago.

My opinion on the update and general function of the game:
The update is good overall. In my humble opinion the increased amount of gems, chat functions, co-leader and decreased elder ability are welcome and the many tweaks are convenient improvements to the game.

The balance tweaks as Supercell calls it needs more work. This update and the some previous to it, has tipped the scales of balance in favor of only the attacker. Currently as it stands, it is very difficult to defend your base from attackers. A degree of luck and the hope of a mistake of the raider seems to be the only thing allowing a defensive win at the higher levels such as the champion league.

I was personally hoping for Supercell to add a defensive upgrade in addition to the sneak peeks they provided but unfortunately the update still focused solely on the attackers behalf. I have several accounts, one for farming and two for trophy pushing. The two "push accounts" are both lvl 130 & 131 respectively, one being maxed out (defense only) and the other not quite there yet (raid account). Either way, going off of my defense history, I have lost 25 of the last 29 defenses on the maxed account. The wins were simply because it was a bad raid or because the attacker made a mistake (dropping spells by accident etc). The imbalance makes those who only play defense demoralized.

What was the logic behind level 5 freeze? In my opinion level 4 freeze was more than sufficient, and again this upgrade further favors attackers. Understandably, supercell is a business and any business is interested in profits and cash flows. However, if supercell continues to ignore these imbalances, I am confident the future prospect of this company will suffer as many will no longer play and pour money into a zero-sum game.

In regards to troop's artificial intelligence (AI), the troops have been "acting weird". For instance, my clan-mate showed two replays where his golem walked past a defense directly in front of it and instead went to a wall. Is this a glitch? Have others complained about similar occurrences?

With regard to some of the farmers out there, my perspective is coming from my own farming base (TH8) and the majority of my clan (approx 46) people who are still farming. I am constantly hearing an increased volume of complaints about poor loot situations. Oftentimes my clan-mates complain about searching for over 20-30 minutes for loot. Occasionally we will see a replay of a "dead base" with great loot but those are appearing with less frequency than ever before. I cant speak for all the other clans out there but within my clan there are grumblings. People are becoming more frustrated and I'm also noticing the same trends on global.

Im sure I am leaving out some details but I think I have addressed my main concerns and feedback regarding the update and general points about the game. I hope you find it useful.
