So basically i would like to know who supports masterminds quests, if you haven't heard of them it's a daily-weekly-monthly quest idea, i can't link it or i would, now the Purpose of this thread is to show SC that we as a community want to see this amazing idea implimented, personally this is the game changer people want, all opinions wanted, lets keep on topic!
Do you know what I support? I support the idea that supercell will one day release a update that actually lives up to what you would expect a company with their resources and time. Sadly I think it's safe to say they are way to greedy to ever reinvest enough time or money into seeing this happen. Which is totally pathetic.

I would like to see a different aspect to gameplay such as these quests. My gameplay is limited to 1-2 hrs a day at most, so it would be nice if they could be done without spending 12hrs playing a day otherwise they would be pointless for me. I'd also have to balance that time with raiding for resources.
The question I have is whether it would be worth SC's time in adding them. In reading most threads on this forum, the 2 biggest complaints (and there seem to be a lot of negative posters lately) have to do with either the loot issues or stale/repetitive gameplay. When coming up with the idea, I wanted to make sure both issues were covered in full.
First the loot issue. If you read my thread, I go into a great amount of detail describing how this idea will help add more ways to acquire resources in the game. Currently we get resources in one of three ways: collecting from mines, raiding another village, or from league bonuses. This idea adds simply another avenue to accrue resources without being too much, and in a much more fun and rewarding way.
Second, the gameplay issue. People want new things, but SC doesn't want to mess with the winning formula too much. The cool thing about this idea is that it really doesn't change the core of the game at all, and it would be extremely safe for SC to add without negatively affecting the gameplay (like Clan Wars COULD if done wrong). The game would still revolve around raiding enemy villages in single and multiplayer, upgrading your village to defend against others, and participating in a clan. However, the idea enhances all 3 cores of the game that I just listed. Let's touch just on clans. Some Quests involve donating to clan mates, as well as participating in Clan Quests (added throughout the comments) that would reward entire clans for donating a certain number of troops, raiding a certain amount of resources, winning a certain number of attacks, or pushing to a certain trophy figure, all in a set amount of time. These rewards would be shared across the whole clan, and I'll actually be going into more detail about them in my next thread that I'm currently starting on!
With all that said, this idea does add new elements for clashers to participate in. You could check what Quests you need to do, help clan mates with Clan Quests or donation Quests, check up on revenge villages while troops are cooking (to maybe spot a good base with easy to kill IT's for an IT Quest), or change your base around to win a defensive Quest (for instance, one Quest could involve you needing to protect your Labratory for 4 hours, and in this scenario you would want to put your lab in the middle of the base surrounded by your best defenses). That is just one example, but all of the new elements I added can be done IN BETWEEN raids, which the game currently lacks in things to do.
I'm really passionate about this idea and think it could really help the game thrive even more. Here are all the things this idea would help with:
- More ways to earn resources
- Sustainable loot at higher trophy counts, in addition to league bonuses (as leagues don't cover the cost to maintain a high trophy level)
- More reasons to trophy push
- Additional resource mines/pumps/drills (just an idea, check out Wheel Rewards)
- Different ways to earn gems (besides achievements and obstacle clearing)
- Other reasons to play every day
- Daily rewards
- Change the way we play/battle
- Variance to the game other than attacking another player's base (adding a different dynamic to the game)
- More clan/community involvement
- Different troop combinations used
- Different reasons to re-design our base
- More added during holidays
- Simply, more fun added to the game
One important question is one Kirky asked:
As for Kirky's question, it would be worth SC's time to add this idea from a business perspective. When coming up with this idea, I always tried to ask myself "Why would SC want to add this?" Sure... in an indirect way, more fun means more players staying, which yields more money from in-game purchases. However, SC would not just be able to make a profit from this idea, but in my opinion a significant profit. Again, check out the thread because I detail all the ways in which SC could. Quest Jewels would be one of the biggest ones. In my idea, Quest Jewels are collected when Quests are completed. These Jewels can then in turn be used to spin a "Wheel of Riches," which can garner a multitude of prizes including extra resources, battle boosts, and more. While I'm not totally for SC making Jewels purchasable, I would completely understand it from a business stance. If this happened however, there would need to be a hard cap on the time delay between spins, such as once every 2-4 weeks in my opinion.Quote:

Yes the Quests are purely optional. Check out the thread an you'll see ;) You don't have to do them and you won't be negatively affected in any way! Do them and get rewards. You might even complete some on accident just by playing. You don't need to participate to win either. It simply adds more options and more fun to the gameplay, something most people complain about on the forums and in the game.Quote:

I understand you are a business but at one point it was rumored you were making a million a day from gemmers. Cant you throw us a bone for once and come out with something for us to do other than raid. I used to play this game off and on throughout the day for almost 6 to 8 hours, now I barely get on for 1 hour. Just long enough to raid donate if there is a request in the queue and then log off until 3 hours later when my heroes are healed, then attack and repeat the rest of my clan does the same. Some days I even forget to play unless I get attacked then Im reminded oh yeah I have this game on my phone.
Yeah phone so if the idea is implemented supercell please do not make them too time consuming some people dont have allot of time to get online and finish a 1 hour quest if they have a family and job.

Well i saw it just now and i dont think thats a good idea honestly, its just too complicated and too many stuff to add, even though his baloons look friggin awesome, i like the games simple... Ive seen many games dying because they added some unnecessary things into the gameplay.
I think the priority is to fix the loot, get mines and collectors level 12 and make more single player missions.. Even though i think his idea to save layout is great
I think his idea is incredible and would love to see it!
However if they only pick one between clan wars and quests i would want clan wars.

I quit every Zynga game i used to play because of the stupid quests. I really hope COC never gets them. They probably will though since it's an easy source of revenue because people will gem to "keep up".
I agree those quests get lame, however these quests are completely different and are related to what we already love about the game which is raiding, defending, etc... The quests in those other games are the whole game premise, these quests are just supplemental and only enhance the game for people who want something to strive for!Quote:

I would personally like to say that this would be by far the best thing to implement into the game, next to expanding the single player campain. Anything that will gives us more things to do while riding out a shield would be perfect. More time on the game = more money for them. Cant beat it 😜

For example, why all the plots look a like, you should be able to have cliffs, water moats, swamp etc. in your plot. Add different advantages and disadvantages to different kind of terrains, for example, all grass for increased collector production/faster building speed at the cost of no defensive elements. I think we would all love to have more substance and less fluff, doesn't seem to be happening. Why should they bother when people jump up and down in celebration over a few gems and a troop level.
Heck yes I want masterminds quests in the next update. Buuut sadly I don't think they'd give such a game changing update so soon. The heroes abilities changed things a bit for battles, so I'd expect quests when they reach a dry spot or something.
