With the loot bonus change I'm not as scared about going to TH10. Plus, it seems I can destroy any base unless it has a well-protected inferno tower(s) in which case I get destroyed, so it's tempting to move to TH10 for access to the IT. What say you?
Well, it would be somewhat premature. I don't think the inferno towers are worth upgrading for, especially since they have to be refilled. And get those elixir collectors up to lvl 11 as soon as possible!!!
Your drills & collectors (extremely important), your teslas (very important), and your walls. Oh and also your clan castle, make it to lv5, you won't regret it.
What exactly about the loot change makes you think it's better to go to TH10 then it was before?
I would say air defense & teslas. They are bost costly and time consuming. Get those max before considering the jump!
I would recommend that you max all defenses. My plan is to max walls and heros as well, but that is up to you. I would recommend a minimum of all lv8 walls.
If you are dead set on Th10, then you can prolly go you won't get absolutely destroyed.
But if you were smart you'd max your defense before going up. The loot gets harder to obtain and bases like yours are the ones I raid for loot.
Why not upgrade that gold storage? :P
Get ur walls up and your good to go. And any other defenses needed to upgraded.

I don't see the point in upgrading my elixir collectors any higher considering for the past 6 months I've had to spend elixir on things I don't even use that much just to keep from having full storages all the time.
I'll probably end up upgrading my walls to 8 before I make the move, although the only attacks that ever do any significant damage are mass level 5 hogs + rage/heal anyways so it wouldn't help me there. I guess that's why I'm considering the move because the ITs would help in defense against hogs.
If nothing else I'll probably upgrade my CC, my teslas 1 or 2 levels, my cannons and maybe my AD before upgrading which will probably give me another month or so before I move up with how much time I put into the game.
For the poster who asked why I'd consider the jump with the new loot changes, I was under the impression that you didn't take as much of a hit now moving up. Is it just as bad as it was before? If so, I'd definitely need to move my walls up to level 8 before upgrading seeing as how those are the most time consuming.

but you should max EVERYTHING (maybe not walls though xD)

I was under the same impression when it came to elixir pumps as a th8. But I ended up maxing them anyway as I did my walls. It turns out I'm happy I did! It was easy to upgrade to my army camps and research troops as a brand new th9! Since my raiding didn't change any from th8 to th9, I contribute most of that to my maxed collectors.
