Newspaper issues...again!

Out of 52 ads in the newspaper 45 of them are eggs. Lowest amount of egg ads I've seen in over a week is 37 out of 52. A few months ago I let supercell know that suddenly ALL, and I mean every one...not exaggerating, of my ads in the newspaper were bacon and eggs. It was like something was stuck. They evidently made some sort of adjustment or something and it got better. Now, all eggs.

Also, I have been keeping a log and there has not been a roll of tape advertised in my paper since December 19th, and very few expansion items at all....like 3. I get other expansion items from my pets and crops but NEVER a tape. So the question is, what gives?? Are they just making it so hard to get certain expansion items that it's impossible to expand? Is there something wrong with the paper again? Or are people just not selling their expansion items public any anymore?? I hate that the only way to expand is through private trade. That is not how the game is supposed to be played. But one tape every 6-8 weeks, it would take me 2 years to collect enough to expand my barn FYI I play several hours each and every day so it's not that I'm missing a lot.

It's all eggs right now because of the event, buy them and resell to the little people and make lots of coin--it's a great opportunity!

Sorry you're not finding expansion items, I've found at least 20 tapes in 2 days, but I click on a lot of egg ads....never know what's hiding in someone's RSS. ;)

Apparently it's because of the event? But to me that doesn't make sense because the little people buy eggs for apretty good price and very frequently so far this event.

You are still getting the same % profit with eggs, but because they are so cheap, you have to buy a lot more of them to get the same amount of cash for it to be worthwhile.

I'm glad that somebody else has noticed this issue with eggs again: was beginning to think it was just me. It's all getting so DULL. I love flicking through the paper normally; it's quite exciting not knowing exactly what you'll find (OK, some of us have a life, some don't!) but lately it's just ALL eggs. I've also noticed that all of the ads seem to be from the lower levels. That's not me being snotty or anything, it's just that I don't want to buy wheat or corn (or blooming eggs!) but I do want to buy other, higher level stuff. I know there are different versions of the DD because my sister (20 levels lower than me) and I both played last week, at the same time and her paper was totally different from mine. So what's going on?

I have made a stock of sugar and my little people has only asked for sugar the whole event.
The only other things they asked for is saws, axes and crops.
Wish they would ask for eggs...

None of us get the same paper. I'm pretty sure that when we open the newspaper, the ads are chosen then, and no one gets the same selection.

Your sister can't see any ads for items above her level, so of course her paper will be different from yours. The game has to pick an entirely different selection for someone on level 20 vs. level 40, or level 60.

I also strongly suspect that your expansion item tendencies carry over to the newspaper, perhaps simply because both depend on what server you are connecting to. (Just a theory.) My farm tends to produce a lot of bolts and panels, and very few planks and nails. And that holds true for my newspaper as well. Lots of panels and bolts, hardly any nails or planks.

Another possible factor: many believe that Hay Day gives you more of what you already have a lot of, including in the newspaper. So if you have a lot of cheese, you'll see a lot of cheese ads. And if you don't have any cheese, your newspaper won't have much, either.

As for low-level players...I love 'em. They're the ones who sell all their expansion items because they don't have room for them or need the money. They sell their mining equipment, because they have no use for it once their land is cleared but their mines aren't open yet. They also sell all their sugar and dairy, because there's nothing else to do with it wth no pizza, cake oven, coffee, etc. Bring 'em on!

Click on the egg ads, I find a lot of good items behind them. Same with bacon and eggs. People just like to advertise them because it keeps their ad up longer :)

click on all the egg ads, when you do some people advertise more items. I always click on the egg ads and usually find am expansion item, try it :)

There are more egg ads and more shops where you find every thing sold because during a little people event, people don't sell as much. The little people pay way more. Just wait, it will all get back to normal in about 24 hours.
