I just want to see what you guys think the most useless troop is (except valkries as we all know their useless!). I'd rather no argument or flare as it would be pointless fighting over a troop. The reason I'm posting this is because I'm about to upgrade to TH8 and i would like a vague idea on high level gameplay raids :).
My vote is the balloon.
I would vote none but there is no option for that so I will not vote. All troops are useful for different reasons.
Um...none of the above. They all have their place. Valkyrie's are the only completely useless troop in my opinion.
IMO, giants. I never use them...
That doesn't make them useless, obviously.
Every troop has their own role in the game.
The Valks seem pretty good to me, bashing enemy troops/having a rampage through a base. In my opinion the healer is the worst, bad AI and that's probably why the healing spell exists
Healer, as they can be shot down before they do anything.
Please check out the bases of some famous farmers/clashers and find out what troops they use.Quote:

You can start with clans Unity Legends, Crimson Sky, Exploitation, Centum Centurae, Farming Kings.
None of them are useless. They all have there own special abilities. 4 or 5 healers go great with a level 40 archer queen for instance. I have seen replays where just the archer queen and healers have wiped out more than half a base. When used rightly by an experienced player all troops are useable.

Would have to be none of the above for me, all troops in different attack strategies can be very useful.
Now that a high level barbarian king (lvl25+) is just a better reuseable pekka i would have to say pekka. The pekka used to be #1 tanker but since the golem update all that has changed, what was once the best troop is now the most useless imo.
Pekkas not even usefull as a tanker+high dps troop anymore as 10 wizards and a golem is a much better option

all troops have the special things in them and the weakness in them thats why we do combos not just 1 type of troop in the whole army camp
That is a hard one. I use barch a lot for trophy pushing, and balloonians,
I voted barbarian, I don't use them unless I'm using Barch.

The golem is the most useless to me; mainly used for trophy pushing, expensive, long wait and large capacity leads to an x on my list. If you want meat shields, go the cheap route with 6 giants.

Pekka?? Seriously? I think according to high th 9s 10s healer is totally a useless unit.
Hogs because they are a boring cross of balloons and giants since the update came that they should attack defences and to make it worse they are double as fast and easy to use, needed painkillers when I couldn't use them anymore because I wanted them only to attack like barbs who can jump. Also they gave us a flood worse then any other of complaining people on the forum, first because people thought they sucked and then people who only used hogs always, like everyone and then people never stopped to say that they were Op. So whatever if they are useful as hell in battl, they are still most useless because they made everybody mad in many different ways and after tons of buffs/nerfs!!!!!
Nr2 is the pekka who attacks like a count and get raped by a single cannon or tesla if used alone and if there is a wall between them.... Wizzard tower can even kill it lol so dumb she is!! Also training time and cost is so high that she aint worth any raid but the big plus is that I can laugh like hell when someone use her against my base :D she is still such much a better troop for the game then hogs that she should be ranked as nr10 useless troop and nr9-1 should be a spam of hogs......
I only said PEKKA because I hardly use them due to their high cost, long training time, space they take up, and their tendency to not go where I want them to...
None of these troops (maybe except Drags/PEKKAS) would be really effective without a combination of others... Stupid thread

Because of their DE cost and being so vulnerable if not used correctly I voted for witches. I rarely use them.
PEKKAs, they just aren't very strong, path in a ring around the base all the time, and take forever and a day to train. GoWiPe certainly isn't bad, but GoWiWi is way better because of the witches.
i had to go with the pekka because it runs along the outside of a base and attacks useless buildings. Also with teslas doing 2x damage it really puts a hurt on her.

They all have uses even Valkyries ! People just don't like Valkyries.
PEKKA would be fine if not for the X2 on teslas. I think Goelms just cast a big shadow over them, since they primarily cover for wizards - who bring plenty of PDS anyway

I don't think there's a useless troop. It's just that some are used less than the others and/or players have not devised a good strategy for them.

And SC even made a statue for it. Because of it being so dumb?
Pekka, her pathing is just horrible and she's too expensive in time/elixir/space. Maybe they used to be good before Teslas, but with balancing and other troops she hasn't kept pace (other than she still looks awesome :cool:).
Good thread... It's not a good sign Valk is just defacto the worst :( Hopefully a Valk buff is getting ready to pop out of a Sneak Peek soon!
None of them - they all have their pros and cons there is no such thing as a perfect troop, they all have their drawbacks therefore I can not vote i think they all have their uses - useless could be defined as troops you don't often use maybe. If I was to go for one of them i would say golem.
The valks just look bad. In this case, judge a book by it's cover.
I would say most troops are awesome but there not smart.. They dont go where you want it to go
PEKKAs are by far the worst. There AI is awful and all they're good for is taking out barracks on the outside.
