wow really most they offered me was 3k for about 50 coffee beans
Great job!!!
I've finally figured out how to do this event, and am roughly $240,000 (so far) richer than I was on Thursday....
It feels good to take their money lol!!
Yeap, this event is excellent for making some money! :-)
well i have been raking the money in. just maxing out tree and bush fruit in silo. Ive made like $100K in 8 hours today. I just added 250 apples to silo a few minutes ago so now i wait for that to get munched on lol
Its all i have been doing, growing fruit and filling silo to max since this event started.
I have fruit growing all over the farm lol blackberry bushes in between machines even. looks awful but mega $$$$ ;)
main trick is have WAY MORE fruit than anything else and its all they ask for. I am getting request for cherries 3 or 4 times in a row until i'm all out of cherries (I just ran out)
Right when the event started, I picked 4 barn products and 4 silo products to be what I had the most of, and bought and produced every one of them I could. I made sure I always had mor of these than axes or saws, and also made sure I had at least one of every product stored. So, for example--red scarves are easy to find, so I bought/made as many as I could. Same with chile popcorn-pretty much every item you would never usually buy lol. I have had no trouble keeping stocks up from the DD. it takes some planning, and barn space juggling, but it's quite easy once you understand that they only ask for you top 2 products or the bottom 2 products you have none of. As long as you can keep products in stock that are more numerous than your saws and axes, you are good to go. Plus exiting the game and coming back brings the little pests back quicker :)
A little planning and some DD hunting can make a lot of coins :) Oh....and remembering to start unloading well before the end of the event--it would suck to be stuck with 60 chile popcorns once this is over lol
Good luck!
lol just sold 34 apples $2032 on the very first little person to come after i harvested apples (I harvested about 250 apples about 15 minutes ago)
the bad news is i used up all my saws and axes grrrrrrrrr lol
oh some people who love gift cards must love me cause 1 person had like 30 bushes to revive in 1 visit lol
well because i am just doing fruit (coca beans a fruit?) I ran out of axes and saws and that just put the request into overdrive because once they were all gone the little people stop asking for them and most all requests then were for fruit. Im gonna need about 100 axes and 100 saws in the next few days at least lol
51 coca $6996 just now
so as you can see by the posts i did just in the last 15 minutes Im making money super fast
How do you do this event?
I only get around 300 coins per a visitor. Currently at level 17.
How long will they wait if you prompt them to "wait a minute? "
My biggest sale, I made almost 18k. But if you sell them hat much everytime then you actually get alot. I've made about 450-500k since the event started (and still counting). I would make even more but it's getting harder to find my target items I sell to them (B&E, blue sweaters, & red berry cakes). I've also been selling them fruits & berries that I harvest because I know I can get more from them than i can in my RSS for now.

Ohhhhhhhhhh wish I had realised a few days ago!
well done for figuring it out!
Did you notice that ever since this event started, that 90% of the ads in the newspaper are for full priced eggs? I suppose one could buy them up and try to sell to the robots, but B&E gives ten times as many coins.
~powdermonkey
Of course I am just now figuring this out too! If I buy b&e, sweaters, eggs etc. at full price, will I still make a profit from the little people? Or should I only buy them if they are at a low price?

I started an hr ago and just got this (such a numpty I posted it twice!)
happy days!
I wish I saw this thread when the event first started
This is by far my favorite event on HD!! It's during these visitor event where my barn is the most challenged but I get to appreciate the hard work I've put into expanding it. I've made over 1 million coins so I'm super happy. Going on vacation in a few days and won't be able to play as much as I usually do so it'll feel nice to know I have backup coins :)
I heard of trick to make them come back faster but I'm not sure if it works. You hard close the game by pressing the home button twice, press & hold the HD app until it shakes & has a red minus sign at the top left corner, tap the minus sign, & that should hard close the app. Then find the Hay Day app & open it again & the little people are supposed to come back faster or be there or something. I'm not sure if works because everytime I try to do it, i get distracted & come to forums to see what everyone is talking about lol.
I never hard close...just exit and come to the forums (lol) then go back to the farm...they are usually walking up the road within a minute or so... (I'm on an iPod-older version if that might matter)
Remember, Leave enough time before the end of the event to unload excess "undesirable" products (nobody wants to be stuck with 50 b&es in their barn ;)
Congrats!!! I made 5k in 1 visit selling blackberries
WOW!!!! I stuck to fruit cause you can grow so much of it soooo fast! and profit margin is huge when you do not use DD items!
you must have stock piled that or bought from DD? (I hope not from DD your profit margin will stink lol)
still that is awesome sight!!!
this is irrelevant but I would make the trees more organized
yes but it is low profit. It is why I went full out fruit that i grow myself. Id be interested
to know the actual profit margin on B&E of that big sale above.
My 22K fruit sale was HUGE profit margin. $112 for each cherry unit.
$410 for each tree. Ok it appears we get 13 cherries per tree.
13 x $112 = $1456 - $410 = $1046
very nice!
ok as randomchic12 mentioned below axes and saws will be needed so more like $1000 per tree lol
I made maybe a few or so but bought most of from the DD. My profits aren't bad really. I've been buying from the DD & reselling to little people & made about 500-550k since the event began. I'd probably gain more if I made them myself or sold them fruits (which I do) but I don't have enough room on my farm for a ton of bushes & trees. Of course I've spent alot of time buying everything but its ok because I wasn't doing anything important this weekend anyway lol :P.
i didn't have time. the event started I truly bought about $200K worth in 15 minutes and just dropped them to get them growing. If you look at the pic almost everywhere that you see trees was just green grass the morning of the event when i heard the bell ring first time lol
the bushes (upper right) have always been nice and tidy and i had them before the event.
LOL yeah I get like sometimes but then I think about the coins & I'm just like ok I'll do it for the coins. But i like your idea with the fruits & trees. Everything is pure profit (well except the cost of the bush/tree). And you don't have to spend a bunch of time scrolling through the DD. it's just going to stink after the event ends & all your trees & bushes wither. You might want to start stockpiling saws & axes, good luck & make those coins lol ;)!!!
The thing with growing fruit is how are you gonna clear out all the dead trees/bushes?
30%+ profit on buying from the DD was actually not bad, plus I found over 20 duct tapes, 10 or so planks and at least 10 bolts from trolling around people's farms. It's amazing what's really out there in the DD if one just clicks on a few egg ads...
:)
(I'm up 310,000 since Thursday--and that's *net* profit...)(but I'm about to call it quits and sell off my excess goods in my RSS and go back to normal farming...my brain hurts from juggling everything lol :)
Good luck in the final stretch!!!
I know what you mean. I've been finding a ton of stuff through the DD!! I have so many dairy products now (which I will use either tonight or tomorrow). And usually it's so hard to find planks but in the DD I've been finding them left and right. I have enough planks to upgrade my barn now I just need bolts & tape lol. That's a lot of coins congrats, I bet that took alot of work. And 30%+ profit can add up alot over time. I'm probably going to keep buying & selling to the little peeps until the event ends so I can see how many coins I can get. Yeah my brain & my eyes hurt from playing so much & trying to juggle everything but I can't help but play since this is my favorite event.
YOU have become the master at this event! It's awesome how much coin you've made!!! I have a new appreciation for this event, and look forward to it coming around again--I will set my sights on net earnings of 750,000 for the next go around. :D
Congrats to all who made great coin, and to those who learned a trick or two for the next little pest event!!
Lol aww thanks :D!! Yes, this event is awesome but can be kind of annoying trying to juggle everything around but I think it's worth the coins. I hope you're able to reach your goal next time, good luck ;)!! I'd also like to congratulate everyone who learned the tricks for the event. I hope everyone is able to to earn a lot of coins :D!!!
This one is the only one I can claim had nothing from the newspaper all me.

the bacon and eggs was nice....but since I've never cooked a single one I have to subtract most of the cash.
Nice to see that u guys r making soo much money. The argument of fruit vs nespaper seems pointless cause i cant see why everyone cant do both. Since the event has started i have made almost 800k with a barn capacity of 1650 and silo 1750. I think its damm impressive considering my size. I made that money from the fruit trees and buying B&E and wool products and selling big quantities. The hardest part is getting rid of items to help make space for more storage. Also dont buy a lot of products concentrate on a few and only stock them up. Another idea is while u r waiting for trees or bushes u should always have 1 or 2 vegetables in huge quantities to sell so u make the best of the time. I always have around 7-800 wheat in stock and they sell min every hr and thats an extra 3-4k there.
There comes a point for me when it seems there's nothing to spend all that money on, until a new update comes along. So I'm curious: what do you pan to do with all your hard-earned riches?
Ok so I was inspired by all of the entrepreneurs on this thread. I clearly did not know how to make the most of this event. All I have done is turn away offers for my saws & axes and jump for joy when they took a fair amount of wheat off my hands. Pathetic. So I harvested every cherry tree, spent over $4k replacing the dead ones...and now I wait...
It's worth a shot...perhaps I wouldn't have botched the ENTIRE event...still no takers just dang saws
Sale!
70 cherries for $7k! Now I'm trying apples...I know they're not as lucrative but hey, why not?
Cool! I'll check it out...
60 apples for $3700...not bad! Now I know what to do when this event rolls around again...thanks for the advice!
mosey, I sent you a GC request bc I didn't c u on the friends tab!
You're very welcome, and thank you Neen!
As soon as event started I focused on B&E, red berry cakes, chile popcorn and red scarves. All easy to make or find in the DD in huge quantities! At least for the first 2 days lol. Red scarves made me the most money.
For silo items I did strawberries, apples, and berries. Next time I think I will do coffee beans
We should see this event roll around again in about 4 weeks I'm guessing....
I started out the event having issues getting the little people to ask for the things I had lots of.
Mosey gave me the tip to not have my top things be the same number, paying attention to that seemed to help. Also it just depends but having 2-4 items over your saws and axes helps to, sometimes I can get away with having 1-2 and other times it's not until I get 3-4 over that they will ask. Same with the silo. Again that was a tip from Mosey.
I was not all that prepared ahead of time with my own huge stash, but buying from neighbors and the DD can get your numbers up quickly and you do make money. I have made well over 160,000, finally hit over 1,000,000 coins. I also am very close to leveling up. I would have made more had I been a bit more prepared. Also while this event has gone on, the SEM's and BEM's have rolled in for me, found lots in my neighbors and the DD while looking for little people stuff. So I made the decision to save them to upgrade, which put me in a bind for space. So I had a slow down on the little people for a bit as I was crammed to the brim in my barn. But I did upgrade both the barn and silo today.
I stripped my trees and bushes as fast as they produced and added whatever I found in the DD. Next time I will be more prepared on this to and have them stripped ahead of the event.
I hated this event last time and started out hating it again, but once I really got the hang of it, I really like it. It's fun to make it a game of beating those annoying little people and you can make some good money.
I'm planning to spend my coins on finishing my golden wall, have some stashed away for my next machine, & have spare coins in case I feel the need to redecorate or if there's an update in the future with new things or new land (I'm hoping for more land). I would love to decorate more if we got more land.
Stupid me I just came across this thread with 4 hours left to go! Oh well, little to late but I did just unload a ♥♥♥♥ ton of cherries for 10,000 coins!!! And another crop of apples for 5800. All within 10-15 min. Don't think I will have enough time to grow new crops but it was fun while it lasted! Not to self - check forum more often lol!
Wow gamof3, you made out like a bandit!! I had no idea how to make this event work in my favor. I am well prepared with great info for this one next time! Wonder what's next...btw I am stockpiling lures for the next fishing event bc I had just dropped nets AND had only 2 lures when that event started!
Next event should be a global one....I've been hoping for a corn bread one lol (don't ask me why...I think I'm just hungry for corn bread and honey :)
Cornbread again hey..... I'll keep my stock low then this week Mosey, then I can nip over & buy all your surplus cornbread on Friday morning again:p
You've really made me laugh the last few days Hun , every one of your posts ( slight exaggeration ) has had the words sell sell sell !! I've had visions of you down on Wall Street , corn bread in one hand, phone in the other & you shouting SELL SELL SELL!!!!!!!!!
Lolololol!
I've *felt* like I've been down on Wall Street!! I really threw myself into this event for some reason...it was great fun making lots of $$$ and helping people figure it out along the way.
And no way am I selling my corn bread to those financial sharks--you always get first dibs Helen!! I'm gonna do pancakes too I think, I've seen an awful lot of pancake boats...(we need an insider trading thread--Hay Day is getting better action than our stock market of late...;)
