To Upgrade, or Not to Upgrade. That is the question.

This be my level 8 TH base. Debating whether to upgrade to TH 9 or not. I know that I haven't maxed my defenses, but just wanted to know whether i should or not. Also, advice on the base would be helpful . Thanks in advance.

Lvl 6 walls are too weak, in my opinion. The problem, if you want to call it that, is that the loot penalty's effects become more noticable after you upgrade to TH 9. Upgrading those walls now will be much easier than doing it later. You can pretty much forget about raiding TH 7 players, because they will be protected by the penalty. TH 8 and Th 9 bases provide a lot less easy loot. Just my 2 cents.



The widely accepted rule on here is to max everything before going to Th 9, but I personally think you can skimp a little on defense if your walls are good. You have the opposite, so I dont advise it.

I am aware of the loot penalty, that is why I am asking whether or not i should upgrade to TH 9, but ok, I will upgrade walls, and thanks for advice.

I went to 9 with gold walls and mone of my defenses maxed. Not only have I survived, but I have thrived there. Don't listen to those too afraid to make the jump until they max everything out, lol. If you are doing well at 8 you'll be fine at 9. See for your self.

To each his own, but I'm not moving until my walls are maxed for sure. Just too easy to farm at TH 8, so why risk it?

Try maxing out some of ur walls and upgrading them 1 higher level atleast and upgrade your cannons

Thanks guys! Well to this day (one day later), I have maxed my wiz towers, my air defense is one level higher, and my archers are all upgrading to level 9. I have decided to stay at TH 8, until I have all level 7 or 8 walls, and level 10 cannons. For now, I would like some advice on my base. Thanks in advance. :D

The only question to ask yourself is do you still hit Town Hall 7 villages? Once you upgrade to Town Hall 9, you will only get half the loot from them.

Yeah max the walls. I'm TH7 lvl 57 with all lvl 7 walls. It makes your base look much more intimidating. :)
