I just got to TH9 a week ago. My main priority at all THs is the new lab, so I already have the level 7 lab. I'm not sure which one to upgrade first: Barbs or Giants.
What would you recommend? Here are the armies I use in case that helps.(They are for 200 space because i just got to TH9)
Farming: 10 wallbreakers, 10 giants, 40 barbs, 40 gobs, 50 archers
Pushing: 12 wallbreakers, 16 giants, half barbs half archers.

Giants. Along with balloons, giants get one of the best "buffs" at lvl 6.

I'm doing giants, minions, balloons, barbs then archers....
I imagine I'll be using minions and balloons for the push which is why I chose to upgrade them first over tier 1 troops.
Giants then barbarians based on your usage, and archers after you get both drills to L6. L6 archers look flashy but the actual increase in stats is so minimal as to almost be pointless. They'll survive a mortar hit better but other than that, not much of an upgrade at all.
GIANTS.......ARCHERS.......GOBLINS.......BARBS.... ..then WBs....
Giant, archer, barbarian
Also consider this for your defense upgrades:
1- xbow
2- mortar, wizard t.
3- air d., tesla
4- archer, cannon
Thanks guys! Wasn't expecting this many replies. Yeah i agree that the upgrades for giants and balloons are a huge increase, just like level 5 wizards. I still haven't decided yet, but I think ill go barb,giant, archer, then I'm not sure.
Thanks for the defensive priorities too. Now i have to do the hard part. saving 4,500,000 elixir.(Although at TH8 i had that much like 24/7, but it's a different story here).
So now i have a different issue. Anyone have good elixir earning tips? I farm in the 1600s
