**Introduction of the DARK WIZARD** - upgrading normal troops to dark troops
Hi clashers, I wanted to introduce a new concept that could potentially add a new dimension to the game and make DE a more precious resource. Pls give feedback and if you like it.
Simply put - it is a dark upgrade for normal elixir troops
Normal troops will be able to harness the dark power and here is how it works:
- - Dark elixir must be used to construct the 'transformation tool' as this enables normal elixir troops to use the dark power in the barracks (15k dark + 15 day)
- - Normal troops need to be 'taught' to use the dark power and so must be upgraded in the research lab to inflict the 'dark damage'.
- - Each troop upgrade is not too costly and must be done with DE but training to use them can be more costly.
- - Example, the archer uses the dark power to become the Dark Archer. She now has a black aura and fires arrows with fire with a black tail. The WIZARD becomes the DARK WIZARD, has a black firey aura and shoots black lightning.
- -Troops can be trained in the normal barracks where, if selected, the dark trained troops elxr cost and extra DE cost will show (eg arch standard elxr + 20 DE)
-- When they die they leave DE behind to be collected by the defender
- - They cannot be trained in the dark barracks
- - Normal and dark upgraded troops can be used in battle and visible in the battle window via a switching functionality.
What each troop transforms to
Barb - dark barb
Archer - dark archer
Goblin - dark goblin
Giant - dark armoured giant
Wizard - dark wizard
Healer - dark healer
Dragon - dark dragon
Pekka - dark pekka
What the DE upgrade means (SIMPLE CONCEPT)
Without making things too complex as SC like to keep things fairly simple, the upgrade enables each troop to inflict a significant amount of extra damage aka Dark Damage. % DPS increase Tbc.
What the DE means (MORE COMPLEX CONCEPT)
The idea of each troop gaining Special abilites instead has been raised in the forums eg fire damage fr the dark archer
Here is what I propose:
Dark Barb - faster damage from a more lightweight sword
Dark Archer - fire damge from arrows which do extra damage over time
Dark Goblin - more speedy, more damage to resources and possibly targets DE storages first
dark wizard - shoots a powerful black lightning
dark dragon - can fly faster + shoots fire with a black tail
Dark armored giant - TBC
Dark healer - TBC
dark pekka - TBC
---> abilities will be a % change because this can be applied to any level of troop but the transformation tool will only be available at TH 9
Research time and cost example
Dark archer - 5 days research + 12k DE cost
Dark wizard - 5 days research + 18k DE cost
Barrack training cost example
You can select the dark upgraded troops in the normal barracks + you can train both the normal version and the dark version at the same time
Dark archer - 20 DE per unit
Dark wizard - 45 DE per unit
