What happens if you block a follower?

I blocked a follower last night. He raided my stand many times a day, and never helped me or had anything in his stand, even though he's at a much higher level than I am. But I didn't really mind him. I blocked him out of sheer curiosity. I wanted to know how it worked.

It warned me that the action could not be un-done. So, does that mean if he comes across my stand in a DD ad, and tries to follow me again, he'll get a message saying I've blocked him? Or will he not see my ads any more? If he changes his GC name, will he be able to get around the block? If I want to friend him one day, will I be able to?

What will I see if someone blocks me? Will I get any kind of notice, or will their farm just disappear?

I would love to know the answers to your questions coz I didn't know you could block a follower!

You cannot block a follower, you can only delete them. So if they happened to chance upon your farm again, be it on the DD or boat leaderboard whatever, they can still follow you again. GC account is tied to an email address, doesn't make a difference whether they change their GC name or not.

The follower can get back to your farm if you helped him/her and you're on their last helpers tab. Like Daniel said, if they see your ad in the paper they can follow you again.

Someone said in another thread they managed to avoid a "stalker" who kept re-following their farm by changing their GC name, but I'm on Android so I have no clue how GC works.

Thanks! Do you know if they receive any kind of notification that they've been deleted? I suppose since you can only follow 5 farms it might be noticeable if one disappears, but do they get any kind of explanation?

Nope, no notification, they just disappear!

Thanks, all. So it seems that ominous "Are you sure you want to PERMANENTLY remove so-and-so? Warning: this action is irreversible" message that you get is a bit overblown.

You'd think they'd save it for something that really can't be undone...like spending diamonds. ;)
