Goose i found someone like you!
so after i get all my walls to lvl8 and get splash upgraded, do i move on to th9 if i have a lot of excess elixir? do i have to max de drill?
So, It's a busy month because I have a new son :cool:
Someday I will have much time to raid, but someday I have very less time because we don't have babysitter and I have to take care of my 2 y/o daughter and newborn son.
But I still managed to keep all my builders busy :cool:

Gold Grab increase from 475mil to 635 mil...
So, It's about 160mil gold farmed during my 2nd month of TH9. (5 million / day)
So finally Giants Lv.6 finished and they are really game changer
If I raid with BAM+wb on the first month, I trade some barbs and minions to giants
and with this new army, It's easier to get into storage if spells or heroes isn't available...
should the DE drill be high in my upgrading priority list? maybe after the splash?
lab > cc > splash > de drill?
is upgrading the DE storage also important? could you make a priority thing pls even tho you dont "use" one?

I´m so happy that I read you threat!! I´m now town hall 8 forst the past 2 weeks or so, loot has been amazing, I found 5-6 150/150k or even 200/200k raids. For me that''s really great. The last couple days I have had more time to play so I upgraded all my cannons to lvl 9, 3 are still upgrading.
I upgraded my last Army camp to 6, I have upgraded My 3th gold and elixer storage to 10, also I have 11383 right now so barb king 2 here I'm comming (I''m not farming for DE, I just get it :D)
And the best thing since I have been a little more active I have managed to upgrade my barbarians and yesterday evening my archers to lvl 5, I was pretty hard to get 2.250.000 but I got it and I'm happy!

Wow good job I'm a th7 and I can only raid heaps on weekends but i average around 1-2 million of each resource using barch
so, I got bored with ringus...
don't get me wrong... Ringus is amazing, I just 3 starred once by balloonions army when I'm upgrading 2 WT, 1 tesla and 1 AD. I never get farmed for more than 3 storages even I have low defense stuff and lots of upgrading stuff.
but, I want to try my own design for a while...

but I think it's not easy to get there unless the attacker is using overpowered GoWiPe / GoWiWi army :p

You have done an awesome job with this thread inspiring others to farm and push ahead with their TH upgrades.
On the base design, it looks like the storages are easy to get to and pretty easy 2 star with miniball/loonion attacking from lower and upper left (balloons in 2 spots targeting 2 WT and exposed AD on left side) IMO.
But it isn't bad! And it looks like U have more loot than you know what to do with. :cool:
You should have put that one builder to work on a quick build project for pride haha. I'm sure you keep it open for walls.

That looks like Ringus but with enclosed outer layer and less compartmentalized middle layer ?

-upgrade all point def to reasonable lvl (lvl7)
-upgrade air def to lvl4? (idk about this one, maybe to lvl4 while TH upgrade)
-overflowing elixir (i think you said that once or twice and I can see the logic in it)
-max farming troops for th8
-get all skull walls
-full de storage for aq
-max BK? (what lvl do u recommend)
anything im missing? do i make the list shorter since th8 is the worst th to be (due to terrible offense & defense)

Having read this thread for a few weeks now I commend you for not only sticking to your guns but excelling as well you have. I've been tempted to jump to TH8 but I've already maxed 80 percent of my layout and I feel its a sense of accomplishment to max everything since I jumped to 7 early. That said, congrats and I agree that it was the right move to jump.
Wow, I wish I could've raided you. It would've been awesome - getting potentially 400k loot from premie TH 7. Yum yum yum, delicious.
I have no idea how you weren't completely three-starred everytime you went offline... TH 8 LIVE on premie TH 7 as they are usually so weak. I get about 250k from premies so easily - that's why I stay around 1200-1300 - the dwelling of TH 7s.

i usually look at where the storages/loot are/is and pick the weakest side...then i deploy barbs and supplement with archers on that side..this is where i have questions...do i leave some xtra barbs and archs to do something? when would u deploy minions? after you destroy ad and other air def towers? 1 minion to test and then spam it in? what spells?

i still use bam at my stage (i have like 3k DE and I've been finding DE to pay for my minions once in a while with some of those storage bases) tho because I find it more versatile than barch
i hang like around 1100-1200 trophies and there are more storage bases than collector bases in the times i log on
i'll move up in trophies once i get my archers and barbs to lvl5 and i find it that once i save up for lvl6 mortars (1.6 mil) i usually get over 2.5 mil gold, which is good but my builders are busy and i get raided a TON once i go to 1200+ with 250k lost with each defense... and i usually have to hide under my shield when im busy..
EDIT:
i usually go for 100k+ raids: preferably with both gold storages together instead of separated (yeah, im that desperate)
2 days left for lvl5 archers:cool:
oh, and should i move up in trophies even if I have lvl5 archers and only lvl4 barbs?
Thank you for your response. I have one more question about what should i expect when farming as a th9. I mean, i farm at gold 2 and i farm on th7's(about 60% of the time) . I have no problem raiding storages as i pick my bases carefully and i use barch/bam only. So once the loot penalty comes into picture will i get good profit from th7's anymore or i'll have to rely on th8+ bases ?Quote:

If you can't farm more than 3 millions a day, you will not able to upgrade walls before they're finished.
well, if you do them on TH8 there is no such expensive upgrade, so you can spend more gold into walls...

I think Giant-Wiz is overkill and takes too much time to cook, yeah... but I never cook my army because the only troops I've maxed is just farming troops that is fast to train: (Giant, Barb, Archer, Minions, WB)

I don't yet able to train pekka, hogs or valkyrie ... lol...

what i tell people is that if they can max walls before their defenses or what ever is dont, do their th. this was it shows that they can farm gold and if they are stuck upgrading defenses only they will most likely be sitting on full storages and just wasting goldQuote:

I need your opinion, what trophy range should I be in? i'm currently in silver 2 (1084) with lvl 3 troops and spell (except balloon bcz i'm upgrading the lab now). I'm getting a hard time finding that 150k++ raid right now, while in my th6 state i easily find it. Pls give me ur opinion and help ^^
Oh yea I only got 170 army camp slot, and can you teach me the barch tactic? I'm not really sure that I was doing it right...

I've read your first post and I realized your ideas are correct. It is a better way than waiting to max all buildings.
I'm currently at TH6, the troops aren't that good. I'm using giants, healer, wallbreaker and archers.

One question: if you go premmie on TH9, but with lvl8+ walls, and tier1 troops fully maxed... what are your chances of 2-3 starring someone in Clan Wars? Obviously because of your high level walls, you will be paired with high level opponents, but tier 1 troops can't 2-3 star a base at a similar level to your own, and other troops (wiz, dragons, hogs and above) are not maxed (or maybe not even unlocked if you do not upgrade your barracks) - what do you think?
I guess you could attack lower level players (assuming the enemy clan has them, but then you would force lower level players from your clan to attack higher enemies, so the clan as a whole would suffer)
I think walls doesn't count on clan wars... because our clan is small, we just get paired with not too strong clanQuote:

my wizard is lvl.3 ATM, well that's s*cks... but I'll upgrade them ASAP to lv.5 because they're excellent army for clan wars, I'm upgrading my dark barrack to get golems and witch as well :cool:

The reason I asked was that I was going to go premmie with my TH7 account, but when the war came, I had to speed up wizards (to get them to lvl4), to get 2x2 stars, and decided to stay a bit longer on TH7 to also get dragons to lvl2. But I think you're right, even if first wars don't go quite as planned, better troops (even tier 1) will be better than lvl4 ;)

i got bk within one day of dark elixir storage finishing and have stolen 110k dark elixir in my 2 weeks so far as th7. my bk is level 5 and my minions are level 2. the key is to maintain a trophy count above 1400 and to mostly attack drills while using your 3 level 4 lightning spells on storages that have at least 1k in them every 1.5 hours. i didn't do this, but if you have all builders, boost your spell factory to get lightning spells every 7.5 minutes.Quote:

BARCH the outside drills and zap inside. also zap the storage with your lightning spells.
get BK within few hours then drop down to your farming zone
do not try to farm with heavy troops like giant-healer, hogs, wizard or whatever it's just waste of time... you can do it on TH8 with far stronger army and get the same amount of DE.
just get BK, there is no need to upgrade him at TH7...
the advantages on TH7 is you're able to raid TH6/TH7 guys easily without loot penalty
you don't need strong BK to destroy them... simple BARCH+wb should works...
How has your farming been going? I've been hovering around 1600-1850 trophies since the update and collector raids have become incredibly rare. I can't even find a base with storages worth attacking. It's either a TH7 with ~80'000 available or an advanced TH9 with ~150'000 available.
Do you have to face this problem, too? Our whole clan is confused and can't manage to find a worthwhile spot for farming. Have you managed to find one?
