A TH7/TH8/TH9 Premie Journey ...

Inspired by Docjos' post, here are my upgrades. Same question.

When should i upgrade to TH9?



Buildings:
Wizarad: 3x6
Mortar: 3x6
Archer tower: 4x7, 1x2
Cannon: 5x7
AD: 2x6, 1x5
Tesla: 3x5
Barracks: 1x10,2x8, 1x7
DE Barracks: 2x4
Walls: ~15 purple, the rest skulls
Gold storage: 3x11
Elixer storage 3x11

Troops:
Barb: 5
Arch: 5
Gob: 4
Giant: 5
Wiz: 2
WB: 5
Balloon: 2
Healer: 1
Dragon: 1
Rage:3
Healspell: 1
Lightning: 3
Minion: 4
Hog: 1

For me walls are also important... They can intimidate people really well, should i upgrade to th9 now (I can finish the walls in 1-2 days)? I'm sorry i DO know how to upload pics, but I didn't upload one.

I want to add to my latest post that i'm a true farmer. My level is lvl 73, gold grab atm around... 180 million, 130 million elixer and 150k DE. I'm online multiple times a hour the whole day. Each season i have around 300-400 attacks won.
Right now i'm gonna farm purely for walls and use my 4/5 builders on barracks, drill and de storage.

Today i made about 7-8m gold and that's a bit high, normally it will be around 5m.

Me?? It's summer, and I plan ahead for my defense upgrades (rarely have two buildings finished on the same day). During the weekend, I will keep one builder free for walls while boosting barracks.

Just adding my opinions here to help you.

You will have difficulties farming the first days as a TH 9.
As a TH 8 I can farm 1.2m gold per hour, 6m per day steadily and consistently but as a TH 9 i find out that to farm with BAM effectively you need at least level 6 barbs and level 6 archers. Those two took 24 days to complete, and the lab took 5 days. That's a month already.

With your loots taken from any nonsniping TH10 IMHO you need air defenses and skullies. As a TH 9 the most devastating attacks i've ever had is giant compositions and balloon compositions. 2x4 openings between defenses and guarding heroes prevent experienced hoggers from visiting my base. So far no hog attacks have been successful.

My first month farming as a TH 9 is horrible, farmed only 90m gold. Gold grab was 326m when upgrading. Now it is 416m. That's 3m per day - half of what i've gotten in TH 8.
Not because i didn't want to but i spend most of my time sniping bases in G1/C3. IMHO that's not a really efficient way of farming so i waited until my barbs are at least level 6.
I estimate around 2m per day prior to barbs level 6 (that's 30m in 15 days) and the rest (60m) after i got my barbs so that's 4m per day. Now i got my archers and i think i can manage 6m per day again.

I will get DE drills first like what you told me and after that i will distribute my 4 builders to 1 WT, 1 AD, and heroes. If i'm not working on my heroes then i'm going to upgrade my tesla/ATs first.
XBows and mortars are after WTs and ADs are maxed.

I think upgrading 2 WTs or 2 ADs at the same time is going to cost me a lot of my hard-earned DE so how about no, lol.

yes, get the DE drills maxed asap... the generated 4.8K/day is very good.

you can always do walls on TH9, if you've got your lv.6 troops then it will be easier than before...

you're almost maxed, so you can go TH9 anytime... :cool:

You should begin the construction ASAP, so you can dump your gold again.
If not, you will sit with 6million in hand, can't spend it anywhere and can't farm anymore... That happen to me on TH7/TH8 as well.

we will find our performance again or even better than before when we already maxed camps and got lvl.6 troops.
we should done it in the first months so the rest th9 will be very easy journey...

your thread is awesome...i found this thread about a month ago after 3 days start playing coc...just looking to read something to understand the gameplay.... and you absolutely right.... full rushing from then on...and ill be TH 8 today ..in less then a month. i dont do some of your tip tho...like maxed WT or mortar..just dont have enought time to build even with 5 builder.

even my lab only max babr/archer/wb...other still lvl 1 or 2. so its very doable...you just have to play atleast 2-3 session a day..with 2 hours a session..because everytime you log off...someone ALWAYS 3 star your base..;);) if you dont get shield first. now waiting with full elixir until upgrade time..

I want the lvl 8 walls before going to th9 because of the intimidating effect.
Without the level 8 walls and with not that high defenses i´m afraid i have to work very hard to keep it all up.
When i´m th9, i´m planning to do at least all legos and trying to get as much lava´s as possible.
And i think i wanna max my th9 base as much as possible. Or maybe not and getting the inferno towers when my defenses are a decent level. Don´t you think that´s all to much work for one th level, 2 sets of walls, xbows, etc?

As of today i get additional 7 pieces of legos - that makes it 73.
30 days = 73 legos, i think in 2~3 months i'll get 250 legos.
But then again i'm not sure if i can finish lava walls. They are on a whole new level.

I recall you saying that you should never go TH 10 premmie, do you have difficulties farming as a TH 10? Because i'm thinking of skipping lavas. Well not all of them, maybe if i lava-ed my core then i'll go TH 10.

And i also noticed you're in Ramen King. What's your IGN? My friend Cronos used to switch in and out of mine for clan wars :D:D:D
