A TH7/TH8/TH9 Premie Journey ...

Hi yaw, first of all, I just wanted to say that I'm a huge fan of yours and your work here in the forums.

A few hours ago, I decided that I would upgrade to TH10 as it would fit perfectly on my schedule since my end of semester break starts just as my TH would finish. The holidays lasts for 2 weeks, which I think would be more than enough time to get the general/basic upgrades done.

However, I'm still trying to get my head around which upgrades I'm going to be doing first and which builders I will be assigning for each. I was wondering if you could maybe help me with this as you yourself have recently upgraded to TH10 as well.

Here's just a rough idea on the things I'll be doing (Note: This is just what I thought would work, I'm open to all suggestions/improvements):

5 Builders.

Builder Dan: Inferno #1 (5 Mil Gold, 7 Days).
Builder Bryan: New Archer Tower and Cannon (x Gold, <24 Hours). Then, new X-BOW (3 Mil Gold, 7 days)
Builder Sam: Spell Factory (3.2 Mil Eixir, 6 Days)
Builder Bob: New Mine/Collector/Drill (x elixir, x days). Inferno #2 when I have enough gold.
Builder Tom: Laboratory/Helping out Builder Bryan or Builder Bob (4 Mil Elixir, 6 Days. If I chose to go the Lab path)

As I said before, I would like to see improvements on this schedule. Is there a faster way to finish off my TH10 basic upgrades?

NOTE: Since this is on holidays, I will be playing around 4+ hours per day, with boosting of 2 barracks always available fro me to use.

Here's just an image of my base if it would help you in any way. I WILL NOT be upgrading any of my TH9 defences until I am a mid-TH10.

First of... your base is cool, you have much higher defense than mine... :cool:

When I'm on TH10, I didn't actually plan anything... Lol... I let Dan, Bryan, Sam, Bob and Tom to upgrade as usual.
Dan is the one building my TH and as soon he finished, I just ask him to build all the fast build stuff (traps, canon, at, mine, pump) then I ask him to build the inferno.
The next day, Bob finished and I just want to ask him to build another inferno, but my gold isn't enough ... so I just ask him to build the new drill. Then I farm gold again so the next day Bob can start the inferno construction after the drill finished.
I don't start my Lab asap because my witch is still researching so I waited first. And when Sam done building tesla, I assign him to upgrade my lab.
And when I have enough elixir again I get Tom to upgrade SF

So, I don't plan anything... I just won't let my builders stop working... If my gold isn't enough I just start whatever cheap construction. But I have the resource, my priority will be :

build inferno -> lab -> sf -> camps -> build drills -> build xbows

After reading your advice, I think I might change my upgrade priorities a bit.

Gold wise, I'll be building my first Inferno as soon as I hit TH10, followed by cheap archer tower/cannon upgrades by another builder. I'll keep these upgrades going until I have around, give or take 5 Mil. After I have farmed 5 Mil, I'll stop the archer tower/cannon upgrades and use the builder to build the new x-bow. I'm guessing 1-2 days afterwards, I'll start my 2nd inferno.

Elixir wise, I'll have a builder upgrading a Spell Factory ASAP, followed by another builder doing Mine/Collector/Drill. I'll probably do the Lab later on when things are more settled since TH10 doesn't give too much new (Farming) troops to play with. Camps can be done all throughout my mid-TH10 times.

So.. That's all I got so far, and by the way, I know there's god-knows-how-much threads about this but errrmmm... Is it still possible to stay at 1800-2000 to farm in TH10? If not, where's the loot at? XD

that seems to be better, just a little correction... xbows doesn't cost 5 mil but just 3 mil :)

for lab, I would agree... if you farm using BAM/Loons, you can upgrade minions, other than that there is very little to none added value for farming troops.

yes, it's still very possible to farm on Gold1 especially when you BARCH/BAM, I got my first camps (6.75mil) by BARCH-ing for 2 days on Gold1. But it's better to keep the crystal badge and keep your cups more than 1900 for the bonus.

Do you have any advice for early th 9 ? Like where to stay , how to farm and defend , what resource I should prioritize on, etc ??

Just wondering, what was your trophy range and strategy for farming at TH8? And how much did you play?

I was around silver 1 - gold 3 using BARCH+8 wb with all rage spells,
I play when my troops is ready to battle, so I never know how much I play,
I can do 20-40x attack in a day

amazing thread and amazing discussions you have there. It's very insightful.

I used to max everything aside from collectors since my first 3 day shield drops.
I can raid 5~10M gold per day depending on my workload and loot quality (GOD sometimes it takes 100 searches before the next decent raid)

Now i'm sitting at TH 8 with :
Maxed towers : Air defenses, mortars, wizard towers
Archer Towers - All level 8
Cannons - 3 level 9, 2 level 10
Teslas - 2 level 3, 1 level 2
166/225 skull walls - 59/225 purple walls
Giant Boms - all level 2
Bombs - 5 level 4, 1 level 3
Air mines - all level 2
BK - level 5
Camps - level 6
Barracks - 2 level 9, 1 level 8, 1 level 7
Dark Barracks - level 2 and level 1
Gold Mines - all level 9
Elixir Pumps - all level 7

TH 8 Troops : Archers(5), goblins(5), giants(5), wall breakers(5), wizards (5), healer (3), dragon (3)
Other troops : Barbs(3), Balloons(2), Minion(1), Hogs(1)
Spells : Lightning(2), Heal(4), Rage(4)

Should i go for it?
Another thing for consideration is
1. low barch, low bam, low balloon, low zapping. Nowhere near capable of farming DE
2. loot quality drops after clan war update
3. my clan goes to war very frequently and i am one of the top 5 players so i am 'forced' to get hogs asap
