Your thread inspired me to not max my whole th8 (though i maxed most of it) and go on to th9. Th9 is quite decent, I still get good loot. :D

I have read this thread long before joining the forums (today) and I agree with this thread even though I want to max out my lv 8 walls before going th9, so I am upgrading some archer towers and teslas to keep my builders busy. How did you manage to get all lv 8 walls in 21 days? Did you have all builders constantly working while that happened? Also, how many builders did you have? I only have 117/225 skulls after a month of th8. By the way, I really admire your farming skills and congrats on the th10 upgrade! I stalk your base daily to keep up with your progress. And sorry for all the questions I just wanted to know how you got all skull walls so fast.
Raiding 10-12m gold daily and it can easily be accomplished in under 3 weeks or 21 days. Yes, it can be done. I did my skulls quicker than sharonsym but don't have much time to complete legos now as it's exams month.Quote:

Congrats sharonsym on the th upgrade, but why the rush?
Th9 is clearly the best th in terms of farming capabilites. Th10 doesn't offer much except 2 infernos and 1 xbow (if you intend to sit on full gold for days). It also gives 20 extra troops capacity, but at th9 i'm able to 100% maxed th8s and mid th9s with ease by just using a simple army like 12 giants, 8 wbs, 40 barbs and rest archers.
Th9 already has the best goodies that th10s have, level 5 maxed hogs (can only be stopped by multi infernos), all 5 dark troops (including level 2 maxed witches), level 6 balloons (I enjoy 6 starring bases in clan wars), level 6 hogs (i'm currently at level 3 and they are wonderful), level 6 barbs, archers and giants (my farming army).
As you can see, your farming army (barbs, arch and giants) are already maxed at th9, hogs are already maxed at th9 (great for clan wars and revenge attacks), balloons are already maxed at th9 (also great for clan wars, revenge attacks and farming de), you already unlock all elixir and dark elixir troops (healers, witches, heal, rage, jump all maxed), level 5 wizards (almost as good as level 6, level 6 only has 10 dps more which isn't noticeable), all defenses will only be 1 level from max (teslas are maxed).
To me, town hall 9 is the best farming and clash of clans experience. You have powerful farming armies like barbs, archers and unstoppable giants at your disposal, you have maxed hogs to enact revenge and dominate clan wars, you have maxed balloons to also dominate clan wars and farm de, you have maxed witches and level 5 wizards which are similar to level 6.

I have maxed 2 xbows, 3 mortars, wizard towers (1 being constantly upgraded to level 7 so soon will be maxed), maxed clan castle. I have maxed most of the gold heavy upgrades and the most important defences and i'm now beginning to use my overflowing elixir on de drills and storage.
Since cc, xbow, wt and mortars are maxed, i'm going to focus on de drills & storage, gold & elixir collectors, dark barracks and then air defence.
Do you have any better suggestions on my next upgrade order after the main powerful/expensive upgrades?
