Enemy troops spawning inside walls???

I just watched a replay of a defense and my attacker spawned 30 barbs inside my walls. The attack only gained him 1000 gold and the destruction of my TH but I was rather shocked.

So I watched 2 more times to see if I missed anything but could not tell on my little phone screen

so how did he do it?

Troops can spawn in any spot that is 3x3 or larger, even if a decoration or tesla is located there.

You had a gap between your buildings big enough for him to drop troops in.

If you had a gap, they can spawn in that place.

thanks. I saw where the 3x3 spot was right away and I put a piece of excess wall there.

then I went out and spawned a bunch of troops in some one else's walls:D

What if you have a giant bomb followed by spring traps? Is it possible to spawn on top of the bombs and traps? Think its 3x2 squares.

Enemy troops spawn in a 3x3 or larger area regardless of teslas, decorations, or other traps.
