Attacking clan members / friends you know

It would be great to see a feature that allows us to attack members in our own clan, which in many cases are our own friends. Because it can be someone we know, someone we are sitting right next to, I think this would add an exciting element to the game, keeping people like me more engaged and playing a lot longer, because I can then challenge my own friends that I actually know and say for instance "I bet you lunch that I can destroy 90% of your village with just barbarians" as one example...

An argument against this might be that people would take advantage by allowing a friend to steal another friends gold on purpose... I think this can be dealt with by saying if you choose to challenge a member of your own clan that whatever is stolen in loot doesn't actually go through, it would be just for fun, kind of like sparring.

What do you guys think?

Obviously not a mod but that is an AMAZING idea. I would probably be betting shots instead of lunch but that would be so much fun to do. My clan has 15 members and we are all various level (general silver through crystal) so we are not even close to being in the running for some of the main clan competitions. It is starting to feel a little pointless but I think this would be so legit. Plus a way to train our new clan members... oooooooh, do this!

I like it ive played a game called monster kingdom before and it had an arena mode and a sparring mode and it was a lot of fun to test myself out against the top players which is kinfd of pointless now since I am a top player now

This won't be added to the game because it is easily exploitable. Have a 2nd account and design the base exactly like a base you can revenge. Keep practicing until you know exactly what strategy to use during the revenge attack.

But in all seriousness I could attack some I know that has heaps of loot as they are giving it to me to take and when they need an upgrade I could let them raid my loot for an easy pick. I don't think supercell will imploment this idea. But not saying I don't.like it

Yes, I posed this counter-argument also, and think it can be dealt with in many ways, but one example I gave was to not award any loot for these challenge matchups, it would be just for fun, to see who in ones clan is really dominant. Also so we can simply play our actual friends for things like... bragging rights... I also thought it would be cool to see tournaments within clans, once a week for example, where we each take turns battling each other and get eliminated bracket style until there is a champion... This would be so much FUN! Something I would like to see before I get tired of the game. This element would keep many players more engaged a lot longer I think.

Exactly, if people will exploit and steal loot, then take that out of the equation. I would totally want to bet against my buddies that I can destroy more of their town, than they can of mine.

That tournament idea is fun too but I rather focus on being able to just battle buddies for fun. Attacking randoms is getting soooooooooooooooooooo boring...even as you climb the ladder.

It's funny to see wannabbee stickites (person who knows the sticky) tell people that an idea is ruled- out when it actually isn't...

I remember doing it myself in younger years. It was horribly embarrassing.

I agree about exploitation, as another user has mentioned. One base is a 'guinea pig base' for attacking a makeshift opponent, and the other you use to do the practice.
