Need Help/Advice Re: Creating Special HD FB Page

So if I were to make up a gmail (or hotmail, or yahoo mail) account not with my real name, and create a "personal" FB page linked to that mail account, that would work?

Facebook provide a service. You register an account to use the service like any service on the web: email, listen to music, forum....The same way you register for any account: email is use as id to log in, confirmation send to email, you choose what your name is, your personal info. Other infos such as mobile number, where you live... are optional, don't bother fill it. However, your FB profile could be suspicious for someone in case you need to trade (just saying). Be careful what you post on the your "FB wall" as it can be seen by the entire world unless you set privacy rules.

Pages cannot be used to add friends hence no use for Hay Day.

PS: You can deactivate your FB account at anytime and reactivate it later.

Yes, thats what I did so I can play hd with my husband. My email and fb account are versions of my hd name.

Just a warning. FB doesn't really want you having more than one personal page. It is against their TOS. Now I know people do. I had created a separate one a long time ago when I played FarmVille on FB. However.... They have their own way of detecting a fake account and many folks have had their accounts suspended based on FB's own weird reasoning and trying to get a real person to talk to is worse than trying to contact supercell. I have had them ask my daughter to fax proof of name to prove she is who she said she was. Of course she has no drivers license and I wouldn't allow her to fax it or her birth certificate to them anyway.

So. Be careful using names that aren't actual names. My brother likes to call himself Phantom Something or other and they rejected that. Oddly. Enough they allowed him to name himself Phan Tom,since Phan is a common Vietnamese name. Also remember that after you set it up, you can change your name without them needing to approve it.

Just thought I'd add my experiences.

Hmm very odd I'm sure it is to prevent scammers from cyber bulling anonymously so i suppose it makes sense. I'm sure a john smith would do the trick;)

So if they suspend your FB account, and you have already linked it to HayDay, can you drop that link from HayDay and point it to a new FB account?

I hate to engage in all of these shenanigans--I wish we could just friend players directly through the game without all of this third party nonsense!

You can disconnect from Facebook within the game and connect to a new one.

I liked Nintendo. You turned it on, played your game and turned it off. None of this GC or FB worries. LOL

Well, if FB isn't keen on a person having more than one personal page, then I don't really want to chance it by creating another one and then having them ban me or something. It's how I stay "in touch" and "in the know" with friends and family. Looks like I will have to be a GC only farmer. :/
