Need Help/Advice Re: Creating Special HD FB Page

With all the new Android users and their need to add friends via FB only, and seeing some people post that they have created a FB page specifically for HD to add Android users, I thought it might be time for me to do the same. I have my personal FB page, as well as a small business page.

I just clicked on Create a Page on FB and it provides me with different categories from which to choose, however, I'm not sure any of the categories are quite right.

For those of you who have created a new FB page specifically for adding Android farmers as your neighbors, under what category did you do so? Or would I need to create a new personal page complete with a different email address from the one I currently use for my FB account?

Any and all tips and advice welcome. :)

I just posted on another thread that I guess I need to set up a fb page for hayday. I would be interested if knowing how as well

I made a whole new page with new email for Juniors android farm. Since it is 2 seperate people and 2 seperate accounts. It is my understanding you can only have 1 farm per user so I'm not real sure how the Facebook Part works yet. If you have GC and FB does that count as 2 accounts? Confused here. LOL

No, it doesn't count as 2 accounts. Under the cog wheel on the farm, there is a place to connect to your FB account so that if any of your FB friends play the game, they are automatically added to your Friend bar. It's just another way to add friends to HD.

I just prefer to keep HD friends separate from the actual friends I have on FB, so I thought I'd create another FB page just for HD players who play on Android devices. BUT, when I went to "Create a Page" on FB, it gave me different category suggestions that don't seem to fit (i.e., I'm not a public figure, I'm not a "cause or community", etc.). So, how do I create a personal-type page with a different name attached to it (I'd put knitgal on it to keep things easy) so that I can use it strictly to have HD Android users as friends? That's the Million Dollar Question! :confused:

I just set up a new FB page yesterday so I can trade with Android players. I created a new gmail account for gaming, then the FB page (as a person).

Took me a while to figure it out but under farm Settings is a "connect with Facebook" option. Clicked on there, restarted game, and now have both GC and FB friends in my neighbours bar.

You wont have 2 accounts for hd unless you play hd on an android and an apple. I made a separate fb account with with a junk e-mail. Its not connected in any way to my main fb account. You are only using fb for hd like we use gc for ipads. Dont set up a new page on your main fb account. Do it like you did when you first signed up for fb. Does that make since.

Yes, that does make sense. I currently have 2 email addresses since I had a small e-commerce business, so I could set up a separate FB page using the email not currently connected to FB. My problem is that I am already connected to FB via HD and have some friends who play. If I create a new personal FB page with my second email address, I would have to change the FB account to which I am currently connected; correct? Thus, even though most of the FB friends are inactive no longer play, the few who do would then be removed from my Friends bar.

My goodness, this seems to be getting more complicated than I was hoping. :(

Where are the computer peps when we need them ?lol. Anyway we were stationed at Mountain Home AFB many moons ago and have family in Boise. Wish we could get out there again.

I don't have a facebook account (so I have no idea about how to set one up), but I just got an android device and wanted to start a farm for my child to play (as distraction from playing with my farm!). I want to remain anonymous to the other players, and I would use the FB account just for connecting to other HayDay players. So can someone tell me: Is it possible to set up a FB account not using your real name? And if so, how would I go about it?

I use a version of mtgirl for fb so I don't get confused.
