Making a thread to see the players opinion
I hate when that happens, you should be able to choose whether we want our seeking air mines to be triggered by baloons. Just wasted 2 of them on baloons, and it was totally unnecessary

Its not right at the corner of my village, but its not at the center either. I didnt want to put them in the core because i didnt want for them to be triggered by a dragon with 10% of its hp.. I think being able to choose would be a good option, i really dont care about baloonions since my infernos are disco..
Everytime I dont rearm them i get attacked by an army of lvl 4 drags and everytime i rearm them i get attacked by baloonions, must be karma
Sorry, I really don't see the point of this poll.
Traps cannot select target!
It's like saying that a single barbarian or a single archer should not be able to trigger a giant bomb.
Well, you win some, you lose some, that's part of the game.
That's part of the strategy. If you know how they works, you can make your village accordingly.
If you feel you're losing more gold than the protection they offer, don't re-arm them.
This is the reason it is a good idea to send in barbs or something to check for traps. Being able to choose ruins the idea behind strategic placements and what not.
Losing 5 balloons to well place Air Mines can make or break an attack.
We should also be able to choose if our xbow attacks ground or air troops no? Oh wait
Thats not even close, just saying you should be able to choose baloons or no baloons, thats it. Not if you can choose the troops in a list
i would be happy if they were never triggered by baloons but i dont think thats gonna happen
Ok well what happens when a raid has only balloons and minions, and no dragons? The seeking air mine would be useless. And it's not like CoC can differentiate between every attack as to wether or not a player has a drag that he hasn't dropped yet. Or if he has one wether it's going to make it to where the balloons made it... Wanting to set it to target drags instead of balloons is nonsense IMO.
Depends on what your defending against
1) Giants/Healers - I'd place them right on the outside close to where an AD that can be taken out would be. Otherwise their is a high chance that the giants will amok before the healer is taken down.
2) Dragons - this depends on your layout. Directly in the core is probably a bad idea as the dragon may be close to death already or it may be too late to make the difference. Placing them like you would for a giant/healer combo is effective but may have to paying out for an attack that would of failed anyway. So ideally, the second layer.
3) Balloons - Near the AD and wizard towers. Balloon users target these first as they pose the biggest problem. I'd say balloons are powerful enough that its worth using the seeking air mines on them. If your just taking dragons and balloons then I'd say the 2cd layer of defenses would be a good place if you are shy about rearming traps.
My opinion - I'd place them near the outside near where an attack aimed at your AD will be. Chances are a full blow balloon or dragon attack will not make you feel that the trap investment would be bad
You can use a balloon to check for air mines before dropping a healer, done it a couple of times. It annoys me to lose mines to balloons but there's also a good side to it as you can see in that example.
More pressing things to deal with, like spell cooking time or inferno towers power. OR THE NEXT BUTTON ISSUE!
