The reason I don't push trophies

The reason I don't push is simply because of the amount of time it takes to build an army for pushing. I really enjoyed the 1 gem boost over the holidays. I would speed up my barracks and collectors everyday of the year if they only cost 1 gem. Without being a heavy gemmer, it is going to take years for me to max walls. I don't mind the the wall grind but I would really like to be able to push for trophies but still be able to grind out walls at a decent pace. I would only be able to obtain about a 3rd of the gold if I used a trophy army vs a farming army, making my wall grind take 6 years instead of 2 years. If supercell could change the barracks boost then they would be able to get some more gems out of people like me who don't normally purchase gems, or if they could just cut some of the training times down or add more barracks.

You can trophy push using barch which is pretty quick to build to some extent.

Just que your barracks equally when building a stronger army so all barracks have the same build time I.e 24minutes. Go do somethings for 24 minutes and then raid :)

Better then staring at the screen.


I'm also happy with 20 gems for 4 hours boosting.

Masters is in easy reach using BARCH or BAM with maxed troops at TH9. With a little more effort, even maxed TH8 troops will do. These armies train quickly and are inexpensive, allowing you to raid a lot in a little time.

For me, a trophy push is a perfect time to upgrade walls. I am not going to upgrade much needed defenses, and the walls are a great place to dump the extra gold from the raids.

I feel the occasional push shows your weaknesses in defence and attack. It also breaks up the monotony constant farming can bring.

Many, And inducing myself pushed to masters with just barb/arch, Great farm army and pushing.
Quick build times, Efficient on the elixir, And packs a fair amount of punch, Which makes it the ideal build.
If pushing with them tho do carry lightning in case your at 49% then lightning a hero square or hut(s) rare case scenarios.

Really? After I do walls I'll try and push. A fourth builder would be nice.

If you've never pushed for trophies, you've yet to experienc a crucial aspect of the game and I recommend you try it out. You sound like my friend who's always washing and tuning the beautiful car he never drives 😕

Really, I hit a wall at 2550 with Balloonions. As a Th9 anyway but I am not saying that its not doable.


I think the loot desert is my biggest hindrance. I can raid at 2400 trophies and do pretty well but if I want to drop down to get elixir I'd have to drop all the way to 1900 and then climb back through the desert if I wanted to farm push


Maybe I should try it again but like the poster the long build times discourage me as well. I do well with Barch but I just have a hard time convincing myself that moving through the poor loot ranges will be beneficial with all those disco infernos.
