How does someone ever get ahead in this game. Am at TH9 and not on the game all day long. Get attacked twice a day and more is taken in the raids than I produce in a day. Trying to save for upgrades but can't ever get to the 2-3 million resource level. Don't have hundreds of $ to spend on Gems. Have placed my TH in a corner to get a shield for a while. It works until I get my resources built, but when that happens, someone comes along and wipes me out. Would appreciate help.
What layout are you currently using?

Last time I checked, approx. 75% (!!!) of the players in this forum agree that we are not able to save more resources like SC promised.
Since SC/Staff have not responded to this failed objective, I assume this is how the game is supposed to be now (like the horrible loot, the endless nexting)
I think they should clear this up or just don't lie straight to our faces.

Hi Dean, let's calm down first. I've been in your position and I know how frustrating it is. Please include a picture of your base, so we can help you. I am myself a TH9 who is currently farming, and since a few days I started using Cloud Whiskey's TH9 Farming base. This guy has farmed level 10 walls! Some extra help: If you are trying to save up for something big (5-6 million), stay online the entire time or as much as possible, so you don't get attacked and you loose resources. If you know you won't be playing in the next few hours/days, put your gold into walls. High level walls will intimidate attacking players :)
He also farmed the majority of those walls at a very low trophy range.Quote:

There is still good loot out there. In the last hour I have raided about 800k-900k gold. Just try to click 'next' a few more times and maybe it's a good idea to change your army.Quote:

With 2-3M in bank and TH9, you should lose max 250-300k for each attack.
2 times that, 500k-600k lost each day (shouldn't be possible because if you lose everything, it means you got a 16 hours shield and not 12)
Your mines get you : 24h x 3K/h x 6 = 432k
It's impossible to build up if you don't attack each day. I'm not saying 4 hours worth. Give it an hour each day (2-3 attacks).
As a TH9, around 1500 trophies, I don't see how you will be cleaned out 2 times each day. Unless you base and defs are really bad.
I was tired of my other account losing 200k elix each attack. So I attacked for 3 hours yesterday and started a lab upgrade worth 2.25M. If you are tired of losing ressources, you must take time to farm a little.

Your layout is definitely to blame here. Most farming armies these days are either Barch, BAM, or Giants/WB/Arch/Barb/Gob (and maybe healer).Quote:

Your base is a little prem for a TH9, try dropping your gold into some of the less expensive upgrades you ahve available to you that will add quite a bit of defensive strength. Like Wizard Towers and Teslas.Quote:

Bury your wizard towers a little deeper and have them in range of you storages, storages have a lot of HP when gobs and barbs attack storages the WT will shread them.
Maybe read some of the defenve base layout threads for more options but there is quite a bit you can do.

Last thing, don't give up. There are plenty of TH 9's out there that are farming and doing well, you can be one of those. Keep working at it, it's not supposed to be easy, and take it as a challenge. Let us know how you do.

You need to be able to ride 12hr shield. Please put your TH outside away from defences and sacrifice some cups for a free shield. Don't break the shield, collect from your pumps and mines, upgrade what you can.

The reason you were getting whipped out was because you were being a ♥♥♥♥ with those teslas. If i saw you base I would drop a queen to give you a shield seeing it trapped would ♥♥♥♥ me off and I would 3 star your base (you have low level defenses so most will be able to)
My second account is unbelievably weak and is sitting on 3M gold and still the last 10 attacks have sniped the TH (and maybe had a shot at collectors) and moved on
Agree with most but the BAM part is a personal choice. Personally I can attack a lot more effectively with giants than BAM. His giants are L6 which is a very good startQuote:

Redoing your base will probably help. There are many bases out there that work well, IF your walls and defenses are well upgraded.
Use the ringus base design. I am th9 lvl 95 and have made 36mil in upgrades in the last week and a half. If u need help come over to HostileTakeOver even if it's just for some advice. My tag is Scoop-It.
You guys finding any abandoned bases out there? I'm finding nothing. I'm floating around 1400-1500 trophies.
