For me if I take that long to train a unit it better be good and valks don't have the DPS.
Wizards are much more effective.

I have never used valks...Im not even sure exactly why? What is their USP exactly? Am I missing out on some secret?
I actually like giving my mini and my mini-mini Valks in their CC for defense...

They cost too long & take up too much space.
Might be interesting if they changed them to focus resources like Goblins and lower the training time.
Make sure they still focus cc troops.
What would really make them awesome is to change the AI to match giants........ but i guess they wont do that.
Then we'd have Hogs 2.0 (not really but you get my drift)
For me its
1) Cost - for 160 DE these ladies would have to do allot more
2) Time - pretty much the same reasoning as above. They aren't on level with an overnight build, so why on earth have a training time that reflects that?
I've used the Valkyries and honestly feel like if the above issues were addressed they'd be viable. When I fully maxed all DE upgrades at TH8 I tinkered with her. She has power, but she's far to expensive for what she can deliver. Even when I switched to making her a clan donation she was zapping my DE way too fast.
Since I am a farmer and I hate long build time/costs this is my proposal!
1) Reduce her cost to 90-100 DE - that would mean 10 valkyries would cost 1,000-900 and that is an amount that can be reasonably reclaimed plus is just a little above a Hog rider in cost per housing space
2) Reduce her training time significantly - personally I feel 4 minutes would be great because it would put her just above hogs for time per housing space but even 5-6 minutes would be a vast improvement.
Personally I think SC should start here and maybe give her a 5th level. I've used her and she's nothing to sneeze at, she's just not worth the wait/cost

Yeah that's why i guess that won't do it..... it's the ignoring walls that makes Hogs so OP though so possibly making the AI match giants would just see Valkyrie get more use rather than mass Valk attacks becoming the norm.
I reckon you're tweaks to cost and timing would be good though and they'd become much more viable even with the same AI as they have now.
What about making her a WB with an axe that turns to cc troops if there are any !?

Housing Space & Costs.
They cost too much and take way to long to train for what they do, so most people won't use them. On offense they are pretty lousy but they are not too bad on defense if you don't get attacked by air.
All of the above. Housing space, training time and cost is too high for what she is. The AI makes for much wasted dps. She can go all raid swinging her axe only a couple of times. The fix:
Housing Space - 6
Training Cost (Lvl4) - 145
Training Time - 10 mins
Buff attack speed to take away that stupid pause she does.
*Alternative to faster attack speed* Increase movement speed
Even with all the changes listed above, she still won't be a game changing unit, just more worthwhile.
Her higher DPS (then before buffing) does make her pretty good with a rage at ripping up walls. Give her a minor bonus and she'd probably be able to be useful in that capacity. But then she'd need a maul (large hammer) instead.
I didn't think to mention it but if she was buffed I recommend
1) Greatly increasing her attack speed - not DPS - if you look at X-bows they don't have an impressive DPS but they fire at such a fast rate that very little DPS gets wasted. Where as an archer tower has plenty of DPS but becomes increasingly less effective as you go up in TH level because that DPS goes to waste due to the attack speed and the animation of the attack (takes a while to reach the target)
2) Add a "charge attack" - basically have the Valkyrie start her whirlwind attack .5 steps before she reaches a target. That way you can prevent her from air "humping" and wasting her DPS.
These two things together I think would make a fairly big difference, because it would simply make her more efficient with her attacks. I've used her enough to know that her slow attack speed is a big issue and that she can frequently spend an inordinate time standing in front of her targets before attacking. Plus you'd run a much lower risk of over buffing her and cause a witch/hog rider fiasco

They have no special ability, like all the other dark troops, they cost heaps, take time to train and have terrible AI
I dislike them because they look like they run on male hormones. I thought they would a bit more feminine after each upgrade so i gemmed it all the way. Bummer still looks buff and unfeminine.
Oh and the fact that i never ever used them after max upgrade may also contribute to some frustration.

She needs something. At a minimum reduce her training time. Cost is fine if she was better.
Some cool features for her:
1. Change AI to target heros and and CC troops. Then defense
2. Increase her splash range. Enough so she can hit two buildings at once. Like a 4x4 arc
3. Allow double damage against walls
But especially number 1. Then she would make a huge addition to a giant based army. Be a high DPS giant! But more importantly she would help your giants cut through walls.
Edit: But right now she just wanders around like a weak pekka.

As an idea: give her greatly increased damage over time on a single target (during one whirlwind). Like single targeted inferno
With such bonus she will be nice hero/walls/thick buildings killer
Mine are going to lvl 3 then straight to lvl 4,can't wait.
because she is a melee type, she would always need to go to the front of the lines, which demands lots of hp or a lot of units. The price/trainingtime/housingspace makes it impossible to have a lot, and the few with little hp do not last long under heavy fire. This is the reason why we can hardly use it.

It really isn't one of those, its more like the fact that they don't have a niche. Each troop in clash has its own little place to be used, except for the valk. You can post all the troop ideas u want, but I always reply to the OP ones saying they need some uniqueness. the valk is an example of not having uniqueness, shes just a glorified group of barbarians in one troop. SC thought they would be good bcuz they have decent stats, but the real reason people dont like them is because those stats dont do much as the valks dont have their niche.

Low HP, whoever voted for that never used a Valk. At max level, Valk has over 2000 HP!
Also, it's mostly the cost and time, Farmers won't use them for 2 reasons, cost and time, pushers won't use them because honestly hogs, witches, or golems get more bang for their buck than Valks do.
It's all I have left to ug a couple times to max. So after that I'll decide if I don't like it. But not a good troop at lvl 1.

It will be better if they reduce the space to 4 and training time to 2 minutes. If they dont do that nobody will use em because there is no advantages to using them

I'm definitely in the minority here, but I like Valkryies. I routinely use 2 or 4 of them in my hybrid/ farmish giant army to get some production out of my dark rax and speed up build time. Deployed right, they will quickly focus on cc troops and heroes and make quick work of them, which allow me to carry 5 rage spells and not worry about holding a lightening. The cost is a little much, but they are still cheaper than making 8 hog riders, or 2 witches, so I think they are the ideal DE support troop. Mine are level 4 and the 1000 hp and 124 dps add some girth and power to the front lines with the giants. They also work well with rage potions, healers and can tear through interior walls the breakers don't reach. The hardest thing is deploying them correctly. As they have no preferred target, they can get distracted and veer off to the side, but if you draw out cc troops and heroes and then drop them on top, or wait and then send them out so they head straight into the middle of the base, as shown in the videos above, they definitely can be useful in the game. All that said, I would love an attack speed upgrade, or just an AI fix so they don't pause before swinging, and another buff or cost production would be gladly accepted as well. However, I do not think the valks deserve all the vitriol directed at them.
