Why other people buy goods from my roadstore?

Firstly i just like to say that this is my personal opinion, so if anyone thinks different its more them normal and i welcome them to express it.

Why i love/hate HD:

• it has one of the best graphics, animation, clean gui that i have seen in a long time on games
• the game is time based so i can either decided to play "hard" and get things done, or come back in a few minutes/hours,days.... and things can still be done
• animals, who doesn't like animals? specially if they are so well done, getting the pig's to the steam, watching the dogs sleep, the fox run..
• non violent game, which means that you can never se anything you have done with your time and/or love be destroyed or gone
• for me the main cause i like the game is this forum: you have people that trade a lote, people that give a lot, people that help a lot, people that like to tell story's, people that like to share....wel you get the poin (REALLY NICE PEOPLE)
• to end the good is helping friends and neighbors, knowing that someone asked for your help and you where able to be the first (yes there are healthy competitions to be able to help) (some like it others...simply don't care)

on the bad side:

• after getting all the achievements the game start to get repetitive
• there are many people that don't play fair (raiding, disrespect trading, asking for help but never help....)
• from time to time you may lose/use diamonds that you don't want to and may have been saving for something.
• it takes time and patience to get to a "stable" place where you can buy and sell and have lot of friends and can help.

Just a side note, from my point of view, anyone that need others to tell them what this have has different, it's because it didn't like it like some of us do, so maybe, just maybe, this isn't the kind of game for "you"(no one personal)

Many other games also have these 3 points. Anyone can tell me, why you love Hay Day but not another game ? Why so many people love this game? I couldn't understand...

I agree with Meohoc - the challenge is in the planning. The more complex the game gets, the more demanding it is on your resource management skills. Don't make that carrot cake right now, because it needs butter and I need butter for this boat that's coming in soon... but then do I do the boat or cast it off, because it wants jam and I don't have enough jam yet. Will I be able to flag the jam crates and produce all the butter myself? Or flag some butter and some jam? How long does it take to make all the butter? Can I afford to shift dairy production away from cheese? I could cast the boat off, but then it's ages to wait for another, and I REALLY want vouchers because I'm saving up for a horse to boost my land expansion materials so that I can make room for the x machine that unlocks soon...

That's what's so addictive. You set yourself a goal, but then planning for it gets immensely complicated - it's like a big puzzle that you can complete in whatever way you like.

On the selling issue, it's really one big bargain hunt. You buy things to help complete your boat orders, or truck orders, you might buy crops because you're short on something and don't have the time or space to grow your own. And you buy expansion materials because some people have lots of spare screws and are always short on bolts, and others have lots of spare bolts and are always short on screws.

I think a big part of the appeal of the game is its depth and versatility. There are many different ways to play, and they keep updating the game so there are new things even for long-time players.

Previously, my favorite casual game was one involving lawns and zombies. It was engaging, with charming art and animations and good re-play value, but limited. Once you played through all the levels and unlocked everything, you'd seen it all. Took forever for them to come out with a sequel, and I played through it in a few days. They've come out with a new level now, but I'd already moved on to Hay Day and haven't even looked at my old favorite in months.

I agree with all the reasons already said but also visiting other people's farms just to see what they have done, layout etc is great. My farm is 'natural', at the moment I am extending my river, other people have skyscrapers or forests, there's a thread somewhere of skyscrapers and other large buildings, others have their gnomes or lots of pets... The variety is amazing. Sorry I can't add the threads.

Why people love to play Hay Day ? Here's my answer:

The game designer create a pure story world which is simplified, abstract and pleasant like people's daily life. In true world, most people doing this: wake up, eat, goto work, finish task with colleague, go home, comunicate with family and friends,then continuous cycle day and day. People will have good things and bad things happen in true world. And what the game designer do is : copy the true world, keep good and interesting things and simplify it, delete bad and boring things, then player can living in the game world like daily life. This is why people love Hay Day, they experience a simplified pure life in the game world which help them easy to meet their individual requirements which is hard to get in real life.

Am I right ?

Does everyone has the same chance to get the expansion items?

For example, to upgrade my barn, I need bolts, plank and duct. And I found duct is the most diffcult to get. The chance to get the 3 things is something like this (the number below is my guess):

Bolts: 0.3% chance to get
Planks: 1% chance to get
Duct: 0.01% chance to get

My question is, is the chance to get a expansion items is the same to everyone? Or, maybe the game designer make me diffcult to get duct, which other player is more easier to get. But other player is diffcult to get plank which is easier for me to get. The game designer design this way to try to let people exchange expansion by themselves.

Am I guess right ?

You guess right. Every farm has different scarce items. That's the reason for the trade thread. People who have a lot of bolts can trade with people who have a lot of planks or duct tape, etc.

Oh there's definitely a big element of this. You can't beat a good bit of escapism to help you deal with reality :)
