Hi, I'm a new player of Hay Day. I have a question that why other people buy goods from my roadstore? They use them for what kind of use?
For example, I create bacon pie, pancake, popcorn, sweater ... Then, whey people buy these things from me ? The game is a system and we players create many many goods. Then, the system must have a way to spend these things. I guess they add some new machine and it request resources like bacon pie, pancake, popcorn, sweater ... Am I right ?
Later on, players have the opportunity to send items out on orders either by trucks or boats. Those orders consume the goods shipped.
Mmmmmm....bacon pie pancake popcorn sweaters......

From a certain level on, we'll be able to do boat orders. Sometimes we don't have the goodies needed and so gotta get them from other players. After having all the goodies ready to go, we'll send the boat out, AKA finishing the boat order, and get the rewards in return. The main reasonw e buy stuff for the boat is there is a time limit on completing your boat, so we may lose out on cash as the coin rewards from boat will be less then we paid for it, but completing a boat gets you a voucher (random color, but you get 1.) and those are really pricy to get any other way.
also if someone if going for the turbo trucker achievement or something (complete x amount fo truck orders from your board in the 30 minutes, being 10/20/30, saves us a lot of work from going to waste if we end up short on one last item to finish off that run.

So, the game works like this:
Player create a, b, c, d, e... then, system recycle a, b, c, d, e... This mode is boring.
So, why so many people love this game?
[1] Explore.
New planet, new crops, new machine. New target to unlock. Everything is endless.
[2]Sociality.
Sell goodies to other players is interesting.
Help other players and other players help you.
[3]Competition
Compete with other players in boat order.
Many other games also have these 3 points. Anyone can tell me, why you love Hay Day but not another game ? Why so many people love this game? I couldn't understand...
Because it trains my management skill ^^. And I feel rich with all the coins I get. There is a forum for player to discuss things and not only "Help me, I need wheat and corn" message.
Seriously, the possibility to sell to others player is a challenge of the game. You should adjust the price, the item and also the right moment to sell in order to sell it fast. When buyer behaviour changes, I adapt.
I don't like FB games which constantly push player to invite more and more friends to get more reward each day. Just not fair. Hay Day is not a "pay-to-win" or "invite-to-win" game, even if you spend real money on diamonds or coins, it does not guarantee your success.
