Who likes to zap DE?

Since the loot change, this doesn't apply anymore. Now bad TH9s and 10s also zap in mid and upper Crystal leagues, please stop telling people to move up (unless by moving up, you mean to Master+, as it probably is different there).

My ANS: why dont you use lightning first on a base, and use your troops to raid another de raid..., isnt that double the de stolen, than just using stupid rage spells on a single base?

If you manage to find a base with so easily accessible DE, then you don't need a rage. If you're going for a well protected storage, you will probably need some spells to crack the core. What's your HH, seeing you're zapping? Oh, if you ever zap me, I'll stalk you and wait for your shield to expire or for you to go offline ;) take it to the bank!

Zapping would be alright in my eyes if they made it less profitable. The risk/reward ratio is just so much off, since it's fail proof and impossible to defend against.

The zapping of DE storage or drills is a ridiculous *legal* c|-|eat that is somewhat nerfed by upgrading your DE storage to higher levels (preferably level 6 ASAP) and collecting DE from drills. Especially the last part as they get 75% of what's in the drill compared to the 5% that will get from the storage. Evidently with the game cap that's set depending on defender TH level.

Anyway, what the DE zappers don't understand right now is that at some point (sooner or later) they will be at the other end, and I'm sure they will enjoy this experience exactly (if not more) the same way they do right now.

I've been up and down and most of the zappers where TH 7, but a few where TH 9 and 10.

I find there are much more cost effective and quicker ways of getting DE than zapping.

If you upgrade your storage to level 6 it's really pretty difficult to take a decent haul. The only time that DE zapping becomes an issue if you get zapped by multiple people before you get a shied in which case try a raising your trophies until you spend most of the DE.

That's what I thought way back too, before SC decided to change the DE looting system as well (DE loot cap) during the loot change. Upgrading the storage does help, of ourse. But the change actually makes it profitable for higher THs to zap DE than before, which I've experienced first hand when some 9's and 10's drop 4-5 lightnings on me in crystal 3-2. The worst of all is when they do it on a revenge, but most of the time they don't have any substantial amounts of DE anyway, making them less attractive to revenge if revenge is possible. Usually they come to the point when they have 3m+ gold in their storages and some residual DE, that's when the revenge button goes off.

Don't hate guys I did it for the last 2000 de of my barb king upgrade to lvl 5.

It fair game I suppose, 5 level 6 lightnings on a max level storage will do 2250 damage to a 3200 HP storage, I believe it's capped at 2500 so that's a about 1750 DE... a TH10 zapping a TH9 could grab about 1600 DE it's nice but that's 2.5 hours of cook time and you don't get to use those spells on potentially bigger spoils... but yeah I can see people making that choice.

Im safing big de loots for rage, because, when i need maybe 3000 de for the next king lvl or something, i cann easily get it from rage buildings with zapping ;)

Quite surprised at the result of this post. With all the hate on here for zappers I would have expected an overwhelming no.

I don't really understand the hate for zappers, it's a legitimate tactic, use it if you want to and don't if you don't. I also really struggle with the moral high ground being taken by certain members of the community. I take it none of you are in lower cup ranges picking on weaker bases?

And before there is more hate directed at my view, I'm TH9 in gold II and don't zap.
