are bombs a bit of a waste? I almost upgraded them a few times but never ended up pulling the trigger. If I didn't have anything else to use my gold on I would but I'm not sure how useful they are or where bombs should fit into the upgrade schedule.
just hit th4 and have my 2 archer towers max and my mortar maxed. still need to do the cannons and some of my collectors and most of the walls are only level 3.
Bombs are useful if you put them in correct places. So I would say you could upgrade them if you don't know what else to upgrade. But I would definetly upgrade other defenses first. I'm not sure if you've unlocked giant bombs yet but I would say definetly don't buy them. Hope I helped!Quote:

4. Big bombs are useful and I think upgrading them is useful, but they are also very costly. If you're farming they tend to not save you more gold than they cost.
I haven't even bothered to build air mines and big bombs at all, because I like being able to hit "re-arm all" without incurring large costs.

I find the small bombs to be the most useless of them all.
now bombs are upgradeable they are definately worth it. Giant bombs are great, especially when upgraded, for repelling hogs and giants. spring traps are potentially the best defense in the game. Air bombs and smaller bombs are still useful.
at TH4 there probably not "that" important but certainly worth it if you have spare builders for upgrades
They are just a small thing to upgrade until level 5 ish. Then it's just 1 mil gold for 5 extra DPS and 10 more re arm cost
