Overview:
Scaled League Bonus would work much like the current league bonus does. If you win a match you get the bonus. The difference is your bonus would increase depending on the number of stars you get. 1 star would give you the current league bonus; 2 stars would give you 1.5X the current league bonus; and 3 stars would give you 2X the current league bonus.
All current bonuses for all leagues would stay the same except for Champion League. They would not be offered a bonus to resources because they don't need it and/or don't want it (correct me if I'm wrong Champs). Instead their bonus would be in trophies. 1 star would yield the normal trophies available, 2 stars would yield 1.5X the trophies, and 3 stars would yield 2X the trophies. Thus, if a Champion raided a village for 2 trophies, the defender would only ever lose 2 trophies, but depending on how successful the attacker was, he/she could get 2, 3, or 4 trophies.
Reasoning Behind the Change:
Supercell really needs to do something about the loot problem. I'm not complaining about the new system itself, but when you are a townhall 10 and need to search for over 20 minutes for anything over 80k something is very, very wrong. And from what I hear, th9's and 8's are having similar problems. SC needs to remember this is a mobile game and should aim for people to be able to successfully search and raid a village in about 5 minutes. To counteract this growing game-breaking problem I suggest adding a scaled league bonus.
Effects of the Change:
Adding a scaled league bonus would do three very important things. 1) It would shorten the time spent searching for a viable raid. When you know you can get a 42k bonus from raiding in crystal III, you would be more willing to attack a player with 40k gold on offer. 2) It would encourage trophy hunting, which is/was the original point of the game. By rewarding players for full-out attacking bases, people are more likely to trophy hunt rather than sniping th's or farming. 3) It would pump more loot into the economy for everyone, without unbalancing the system. The scaled bonus is quite modest imo, and does not give an extreme amount of resources. Plus, to successfully 3-star a base, you usually need a strong army (more elixir costs) and the right base to attack (more gold costs) so the extra resources would be mainly used for this, and not unbalancing the upgrade process.
Conclusion:
A Scaled League Bonus is the only viable solution I could think of to counter searching for an extremely long period of time. No matter what townhall level or trophy count, many people, myself included, have begun to find the game quite boring just hitting NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT NEXT etc. This addition would make the game about raiding again, and not about searching for shapes in the clouds between villages. If this sounds like something you would like to see in the game, please add your comments below. Criticisms are welcomed as well :)
