Co-leader and elder chat

Ok, i know these ideas were posted already, but i would like to share my opinions and ideas on these 2 topics. So first off, elder chat. I believe that having an elder chat would be an excellent addition. Lets say the elders and leader want to get together to discuss an issue within the clan, or perhaps talk about who to promote or who to kick. This would be a great place to discuss these things when you dont want any regular members eaves dropping or jumping in. second, co leader. This term is used a lot in clan banners but arent really worth anything. I think that a co leader rank could be established. The co leader could be called lieutenant or maybe even co leader. There will be only one clan co leader and the co leader may edit the banner and demote unworthy elders as well as kick out anyone. If the co leader is a threat, the leader may demote him. So what do you guys think? Please hold back any negative comments.

Hey if the threads aren't closed why don't you post there instead? You can even read what people have already said of such topic. If I shared my opinion about the idea of elder chat and co-leader in another thread I'm not going to repeat myself over and over again.

I understand that. But this is what i mean by holding back negative comments. Dont tell me its posted a thousand times already, im aware of that. Just reply to the thread and tell me if you Agree. What are the ups and downs? Thanks. :)

If you're aware of the fact that this is both in the sticky and posted hundreds of times before, then why not simply comment on one of the pre-existing threads?

I made a thread about that all ready

This idea would be a waste of time. Why are you afraid to talk in front of members? If you as elders are scared to talk about clan business in front of members, you are not very good leaders.

Co leader? nooooooo!! One leader is already a pain!

private chat for elders?? noooooo!! Transparency is good! Do everything out in the open, else the clan will function like office with bosses n their private offices!

Dont take fun out of the game with more levels.

the only additional role I endorse is....... Permanent member! Not elder.... Just a permanent member!

Also, restrict the number of elders per clan to 5 or 8. There's too many chiefs and too few Indians !!!!

The reason most people want a co-leader is to appease somebody in their clan who also wants to be a clan leader. If somebody wants to leave your clan because that can't be a leader, you are better off without them. Why stop at two leaders? We should be able to have 50 so everybody will be happy.

How can something that doesn't exist in the game suck? There are many threads requesting for the feature and many more who support it.

one leader trying to create drama and throw his weight around is enough. We already have elders.... And there can be 49 elders in a clan!!! I don't see any need for a co leader. It's a role I don't see any use for. Leaders suck already.... Co leaders will suck even more. There will be lots of drama n bad game experience from it.

all of you who disagree are probably regular members. you probably dont want your elders in your clans keeping secrets from you. think about the benefits and the space it could open up. the elders must chat in private. why should they have to discuss important matters in front of all members? i believe an elder chat is totally necessary, and im not even an elder. im not afraid of anyone talking about me, if your doing good in your clan and you constantly donate, you shouldnt have anything to worry about. as for co-leader, im not saying this is a must-have feature, but telling by the threads, some members really want the co-leadership role.

good idea i have this guy in my clan called kingcat and yesterday he gave me a wall breaker and it was lvl 2 and i asked for archers and and a dragon do i had 1 dragon 4 archers and one wall breaker in my castle. and before my cousin told nobody to donate to him because someone else was going to give him a dragon but someone gave him 2 giants so he couldn't give him a dragon and he did it on purpose

Chat is simple, kik it's an app there are others get it and tell clan elders to do it you can use same name as in game

yes, but regular members would just eavesdrop and join in with out anyone knowing.

I am the clan leader of a top 800 clan and I am in the top 100 in my country. If you are afraid to talk clan business in front of your clan members you are a horrible leader. Co-leaders are just to appease another person in your clan so they don't leave, another sign of a weak willed leader.

From these two suggestions I can see that you need to work on your leadership skills. Maybe you should give your leadership to a person who is not afraid to lead.

From your comment i can tell you dont know people that well. Im not a leader, and i get along just fine with everyone. Im not saying im afraid to talk to members, but for some leaders, they really wish they can talk about matters in private. You should think about all leaders, not only in yourself and your own clan. Talking in private is not a sign of weakness, its a sign of authority and respect. Regular members should look up to their elders and do good things for the clan. They should humbly accept facts. If a leader is brave, like you said, of course they can talk about business to the entire clan, but for others, that isnt the case. Thanks for your thoughts. :)

it should be an elder chat becuae what if you are taking a vite for who should get kiked out but 1 peason votes to kik him out and the others dont want him out but he leave because the one epardon voted for him to get kiked out

If a matter is that dire and needs to be talked about in private the leader should just call his elders on the phone. My point still stands, if a leader or elders are afraid to talk about clan business in front clan members, they are not very good leaders. Not one person in my clan has ever brought up a co-leader or a private chat for elders. The simple thought of that would be absurd because our clan runs smoothly. Maybe if more clans were run properly we wouldn't have these threads in here constantly.

My clan has had these types of discussions and we did in front of everybody like grown-ups should. Why are you so afraid to talk about things in front of others? Why even be in a clan if people are so scared to discuss things out in the open?

maybe some clans dont work like yours. yours may run smoothly, but others may not. some clans have kids (most) so kids would certainly ruin a conversation of vital importance like eldership or excile (kick). a leader doesnt have to be afraid to speak out, what if he just wants to talk in private? its his/her decision. if you dont fear talking to all members, then good for you and your clan, but other clans dont work that way. just as in real life, in an army, there are war councils. who goes to the war councils, every soldier? no, only the generals or commanders. this is the same for clans, even though there are just 50 members. but i agree with you on the fact that co-leadership isnt necessary, but since ive seen so many clan banners including this term, i thought maybe it COULD not SHOULD be a new feature. but on account of elder chat, i certainly believe that this a SHOULD have. :)

A clan bulletin where we can post our clan rules would be much more helpful than an Elder Chat. Our clan has kids too, one day we were attempting to have a clan discussion and a kid kept interrupting us, I booted him. Problem solved!

You can't join a kik chat unless invited, so leader starts one and invites elders

Yeah... So many clan banners these days. Good thing our members came back the next day... I think clan banners think it is trolling but they are wrong if they do.
