What happened to the TH snipers???

Someone just sniped my townhall, but for reasons unknown also sniped by AQ. They are on the completely other side of the base so there is no chance of friendly fire. So, I reasonably steamrolled his base. Later found out that person was on the push to invincible achievement and was almost there. Even better.

So yeah got my townhall in the corner, the attacker decides to throw a full on attack, doesn't destroy the TH in the corner and fails to get 1 star.

Town hall sniping just opens you up to a lightning strike on yout DE.

I've been sniping TH to maintain trophy count while all my mortars are upgrading (no point trying to save gold right now). About half of the seemingly undefended TH in Gold I/II have been booby trapped, so I can see why some players would avoid snipping ... might as well make it worth your while if you're going for a star.

I really like it when they leave their DE undefended, so I can one (or two) star them anyway, and take their DE :)

I haven't unlocked lightning strike yet, it's all good.

Actually that does happen, because with the limited time it is inevitable that sometimes you might miss something obvious in such a hurry to evaluate a base. So this is actually one problem of having townhall in the corner, because it is more likely to be neglected by the potential attackers. Sometimes you need to zoom a lot to find it, and people do forget to do so sometimes. Therefore the advantage of having townhall beside the base is that it becomes more prominent.

There are some things you can do to make it more obvious though, e.g decorations and such.

CoC is starting to get boring now, the defense upgrades take forever and also the loot is terrible. I got 2 free builders at the moment with nothing to upgrade! The upgrades are very expensive and my base keeps getting raided by TH9s! It's so annoying and now I don't even feel like playing anymore tbh.

Making an alt account can make it more enjoyable, even if you don't play much.
