I agree. However; not halved. That's too much. Maybe cut down by a third?
Even farming with BAM requires a spell or two, and raiding every 15 mins, I cant always get those spells.
Especially cup pushing, having a ready army in 40 minutes, and waiting 2 hours for spells is not ideal.

Yep. Personally I would opt for 15 minutes for all spells. This way they can actually cook parallel to an army comp. The elixer/gold switch of spell prizes will control spells usage running wild. At 100k+ per 5 spells it's a lot to pay. Perhaps this would also allow for more people to move up in cups, solving, even if only slightly, the scarcity of champions league players. Also it would give TH9 a bit more of a chance against the mighty IT.Quote:

I'd say if you started something in Crystal (maybe II or III) where time was shaved off as you rose in trophies. Then by masters I it was like 1/4
I very much doubt SC would do this though due to the gem purchases needed to push.
However, reducing the spell times to 1/2 would still require some boosting.... or even just capping the time at 30 minutes. I hope they consider this because its a big reason I have a bad taste in my mouth for trophy pushing.

Yall should be happy with 30mins and your occasional 1 gem spell boost.
In my view spell time and troop cook times should be on a par for the top guys, so if it takes 2hrs to cook a gowiwi army (no idea how long it actually takes as I don't use the combo), then it's reasonable for it to take 2hrs to cook the 5 spells to go with that army.
I've moved up and I attack tougher bases with Balloonion now since the update. I make less loot than I used to. Going after storages for TH9/10 is more fun for me but I definitely don't pull the same kind of loot per hour. The army takes too long to cook. The one huge impediment is spells. When I can sit down for an extended session, I'll tend to boost the spell factory. This costs gems but I don't find it to be a wholly unreasonable amount.
I think you'd have to be a bit concerned about any massive change in cooking time. A rage reduction would definitely make me more willing to go after some additional bases. I'd really like to see a spell queue added. Being able to queue one spell up wouldn't drastically change the game but it would help a bit.
Based on the latest loot changes and the fact that Supercell are trying to encourage players to attack people of a similar or higher TH level and target storages, then yes, spell cooking time should be significantly reduced.
We are playing a portable game afterall, which should lend itself to being able to play quickly ... Not raiding once every two hours.
edit in light of the above post, queuing spells would be very helpful, especially with a boosted spell factory.

Queuing spells is a good start but it really only saves you time on the first spell, just like when you queue troops. You would still need to wait x hours for the next 3-4 spells to cook. Sure they used to take longer back in the days but the game has changed and they're now essential when attacking. I think 15-20 mins spells would be alright even though it would still be 95 mins for a gowiwi attack. Still better than the current +3 hours.
Yes we hope, but it will never happen. The spell factory is a very lucrative source of boosting as far as I can asses.
A more realistic demand would be to ask SC for 1 spell queue, or perhaps 2 queued spells at Spell Factory level 5. For instance:
SF 1 = 1 spells
SF 2 = 2 spells
SF 3 = 3 spells 1 queue
SF 4 = 4 spells 1 queue
SF 5 = 5 spells 2 queue
This will shave some considerable time of spells cooking when we are inactive and start playing, without making SC lose their spell boosting income. A very active player would still boost because he plays in long sessions. And a spell boosting player would also greatly benefit from the queue.
