See the Daily Deal below. Does anybody actually buy these? You can hire Tom for one day for 15 diamonds. Two trips and you can have 18x TNT, and many, many, many other items over the course of your day.
Do these prices in the DD seem disproportionate to anyone else? I can't imagine anyone buys into this unless they are very unfamiliar with the game, which is really unfair to those players. What's the deal?

My guess is people fall for it ONCE. I did when I first started playing. If a percentage if first-timers do it when they start playing, it'd be a nice chunk of change over time.
My current offer is 80% off. The offers vary. Good or bad, it's good to have options. Some schedules do not permit using Tom to his fullest or near it for that matter.
The DD offer may suit their schedule.
I did I once for axes because my farm was full of dead bushes. It hadn't occurred to me at that point I should've used the diamonds I paid for to just hire Tom. I realized after the fact and was kicking myself for it, but oh well, lesson learned!
BTW, did you happen to grab those cheap nails? :)
This is where I get 90% of my building materials, the rest I get from my neighbors.
I usually laugh at the deals for like 5 shovels for 50 diamonds. that's a complete noob-trap. awful.
I wonder what would happen if they offered bolts or nails for the outrageous prices??????

Now if they offered these deals for a reasonable price, says 5x diamonds max for this particular deal, it'd be a lot more tempting and I'm guessing they'd have a lot more players buying in. Though, I don't have the numbers of how many people actually fall for this, so who knows.
