Fix the trophy return for Champion League holders especially above 3600

Hi, I am new here.

It gets frustrating to raid when you are in champion league. Is a mental torture!!

My current trophy is about 3700-3800 but hell I need to use 3hrs, sometimes up to 5hrs to find a base with good trophy return ratio. The 95% base that I saw is 1 ~ 3 trophy. sometimes highest I seen is only less than 15 trophy available. I have to keep looking at the magnifying glass or it prompt to say no village to attack, pls try again....

What's the point for raiding for 1 or 2 trophy base when the losses is 38 or 39 trophy!!

Why am I still seeing Master 1 or even Master 2 base!?

Can we implement like Champion 1, 2 or 3? Or Platinum league?

Can the shield be shorten like 4hrs for 1 star raid? 8hrs for 2 stars raid? 12hrs for 3 stars raid?

Can the loss of trophy reduce when you raid a 1 or 2 trophy base?

Is like all the players in Champion league are either online like me who keep on searching for a good trophy return base or they are on active shield...

I don't look at loot anymore but then is getting boring in Champion league!! Is forcing people to quit!!

Supercell pls fix this problem or implement a new raiding system for Champion league!!

My Understanding of the trophy system is that there can only be 1 top player, a simple bell curve graph will show that the closer you get to the the no.1 position the less and less players there will be at the top. Increasing the ease of gain trophies up at the top will merely extend the overall number of trophies it won't get you any closer to the top.

Creating a league above champion is somewhat counter intuitive. Having reached 3200 trophies the game is no longer about the league but about reaching the no.1 spot. Honestly, on a fundamental level not matter what they do to the system it's going to be insanely difficult to reach that spot.

Even you create Platinum league or Super league it's still about the same. Losing 39 cups doesn't seem a problem but earning 1 cups per match is boring, and staying hours in the cloud meh.

The problem is that there isn't many players up there. It's a torture but logical. There is only one #1 spot. :rolleyes:

Personallyi would say that in the cl you cant get a shield. That league is all about cups, so no shield and make the cups gain a lil higher because more top players are available to attack

I always feel sorry for high level trophy players when I read topics like these. They pop up at least once a month or so. Steve did ask for concrete suggestions in the last topic about this, but not much has come of it since.

There have been tons of (good) suggestions, but no Eureka-moment yet apparantly.

Would these trophies be extra stolen or are we talking created?

LOL, it's really frustating. i have target for my first account, my target is hit 4K trophy
I spent much time, energy & gem to reach that. And my best trophy was 3998, 2 more trophy to hit my target and then someone attack me, i lost 39 trophy. I feel like wanna throw my ipad & really frustating, because you need to win minimum 20 attack without lose to get that trophy back. And for 1 decent raid need 1-2 hour search

And then SC implement revenge cooldown, a lot of my clanmate retired, most of high trophy player have more than 1 account. because you really hard to raise your trophy without 2nd account
You could imagine, win for 1-3 trophy, and lost 30-59 trophy. That's why a lot of top player retired because of revenge cooldown

Now, my 1st account retired for awhile, i farming with my mini and i enjoy that. Don't need to stay online and i'm not afraid get attack.I always log off after attack, and log in when my troop ready for battle

I also feel a bit sorry for players that are stuck searching for a battle, a little similar to farmers who are spending 200k+ searching on occasion.

I'm not sure what they can do. The reason there is little on offer is because there are little people up there, plus the ones that are there are either online or shielded. Scared to give back their hard work.

If Supercell increase the trophies these players can win off lower players (instead of 1 to 3, it's 8 to 15 etc) then they also need to adjust what lower players can take off them (instead of 20 to 30, it's 40 to 60 etc) to keep it balanced. I'm sure high level players do not want this also. Otherwise the game really is "the more you pay the higher you get".

No doubt it's a toughey. Have any high level players actually made any detailed suggestions? I can't remember seeing any.

Pretty much everyone in the 3800+ range is no doubt shielded or using some other way to stay logged in for the full 8 hours. Therefore no matches are available for players around their trophy range, as a result they will find bases lower than them for only 1 trophy. A cup overhaul is needed, a more rigid win/lose cup amount might help.

If they offered 10 to 30 trophies then people with a lot of money would just keep gemming and raiding (any base that came up). We'd see the Top player with 6,000 trophies in a fortnight!

I would say it's already exist in 3200-3400 or so. Imagine a 4000 trophy player get 60 trophies every time he break shield then how high the trophy will go; not saying one apparently raid for 8hours straight when shield is break. :o

I knew it was difficult. But champ gameplay seems awfully boring. Definitely need some fixing

When thinking about it.

Solutions that add "bonus" trophies after the win, will result in trophy inflation, not really an ideal situation, it will also encourage gap growth as well. What is rather good about the current system is that it makes it impossible for the leader to break away from the pack. Basically when you are at the top the idea is not that you get far ahead but rather you have to fight to stay there.

The scaling system against players based on cup difference makes it possible to make a difference up at the top there rather quickly.

I think probably the largest problem is that of getting attacked by a player much further down the range from you. i.e. you are able to make 1-5 trophies but a single loss incurs a huge deficit. A solution to this, which could make for some interesting play could be by re-looking at the revenge system from a cup point of view.

Basically at the moment a revenge is to all intents and purposes a normal attack with the difference that you have the opportunity to attack a specific target.

What if you changed it that a revenge, in terms of cups, worked on the double or nothing principle. The cups that are up for grabs in the revenge are equal to the cups that changed hands in the original attack.

I.e. high trophy player attacks and wins 3 trophies, the available revenge for the low trophy player is 3 trophies. Low cup player attacks a high cup player and steals 56 trophies, higher cup player can win back up to 56 trophies in the revenge.

Certain other things do need to be considered, the revenge should be required to be fought within the next 3 days or something like that, to prevent players from "banking" revenge options for when they are higher up in the trophy count.

All in all, I think this would add meaningful competition without creating further loophole and work around.

ok, if i got attack by player who had same level of troop, hero & def., i could lost max 59 trophy
And if i attack him, i only get 1-3 trophy. Where's the logic?
SC should consider about troop level, hero & def.
cause i have more trophy than him so sc let him take 59 trophy from me?

This is great topic and I personally like the fact that the discussion picks up every now and then, it's great to have a variety of different playing styles represented here :)

About the topic itself, providing more cups from a victory would mean that someone (you) loses more cups. That's how it goes. And no matter if the top is at 4000, 5000 or 50 000 trophies, being at the very top means that you have less opponents than those who are lower. There's no changing this, that's how it goes. So instead of adding more trophies, I think the solution lies elsewhere. Adding more depth to the game, for high trophy players and low/mid trophy players alike. That said, I'm still very open to all suggestions related to this, so please share if you have feedback :D

If someone does this they might be able what you said is break away from the pack and basically be unable to attack and defend as he would be past the max trophy difference you are allowed to see

The problem is your trophies are too high. Lower them to 3200-3400 and everything will be fine. You want to be a top player and get all of the accolades of being on the leader boards yet you are crying about only getting a few trophies. It cost to be the boss, if you want to be a top player its going to be hard. Should it be easy to stay at 3,600 trophies plus?

A person would not be able to break away from the pack anymore if this was implemented than they would now. What it will do is give a player a limited option to gain back trophies lost. With a degree of risk, if somebody stole 56 trophies from you and you revenged, and lost you would lose a further 56 trophies.

If you failed to succeed in 3 starring your opponent you would not get back as many trophies as you lost in the first place. The current problem for top level players is they get attacked and lose 56 trophies and a revenge can earn them at best 3 back. It's not really much of a revenge.

The top of leaderboards is corrupt, look how many wins on offense and defense # 1 has already. Bogus! How lame it must be to keep raiding yourself. Its a known fact that the TOP "players" are a select few who maintain numerous accounts. Let them enjoy 4500 trophies to themselves while they gem everything. Youll NEVER get there without spending tens of thousands of dollars on gems. The game is most fun while balancing between farming and trophy pushing every few weeks/months. I wish i could play a gem free clash of clans but i enjoy what we were given.

Not a simple thing to solve:

- Why are there no opponents, because they are under a shield.
- So if you want more opponents, remove the shield.

If there was more balance in offence vs defence then you could drop the shield functionaliteit for leagues with less opponents. But, in its current state the offence is overpowered and a defence win only happens when the attacker is either drunk or seriously distracted while attacking (like a wife, asking you to not to throw your clothing next to the bed but on the chair specifically placed for that).

They've already removed 7 day shield from champions. Now if we remove all shields, then the pool of champions that are not on shield would definitely increase.

Honestly, I wouldnt mind if they disabled all shields for champions... BUT, as long as the shields are available, champions like myself will continue hiding behind them (currently on 3 day shield after a weekend of heavy gemming attacks).

Well, there would be quite many ways to fix this, but as it is "as is", no point complaining about anything in the game.

Well... only the squeaky wheel gets greased. Therefore, complain is all that can be done to have your voice heard.

There is is a different answer to the question why there a no opponents. It's because of the gemming. Top players put in a lot of time and effort to get to the top. This creates a gap between them and the 'other' player. They also spend a lot of gems which makes the gap even bigger. Maybe the gemming is actually the main reason for the gap, because most people don't have enough money to spend a large amount on a game. Also all of the tricks top players use seem helpful to them, but they're only destroying the gameplay.

Without the gemmers, there is no gameplay to "destroy". At least not a free game.

Monetizing lack was the change when all this started. In the beginning, the resources were "free" so gems only got you the speed. Now you need to farm for a year to get to same spot where 10k$ gets you instantly - base-wise. I don't see SC changing their cash cow for enjoyment of the game.

If more trophies were rewarded for each win to EVERYONE then EVERYONE would INCREASE in trophies thus leading to the same predicament. I question whether people think before making these threads or do they really want trophy counts to go into tens of thousands. I'm pretty sure the top ten players play considerably more than everyone else since the system is the same for everyone.

Same with loot. In-actives were never part of the game and are more of a luxury. There is always loot available but people want to use just barbarians expecting to find easy unguarded 300k bases.

This is why pushing is so frustrating. Gemmers also pay for this game... Those updates we get? Yeah we get them from gems. SC's profit is from gems.

This is only half the truth. There is a relatively small group who spends a lot ( which you need to do to reach the top). The majority spends small amount, but still adds up to big numbers. This does create a gap.

Supercell are laughing all the way to the bank - this game is flawed - it's a work in progress and supercell should not have taken monies for a game that was not complete

Totally love this idea, SC should consider it!
