I think it's ok to post a thread warning people about these things as long as the discussion does not stray onto how to do it.
The emulator thing is an issue it IS against the rules to play via 3rd party software and it can open the game up to mis-use in a number of ways I am obviously not going to talk about here. We all want the game to be as fair as possible and those of us who are passionate about clash will do anything we can to do our bit for that.
Your initial claim was that you "will be banned" for playing on pc. Then you sort of backtracked to a lesser claim that someone likely will be banned. Do you know what evidence is? Do you have the ability to think? Citing forum rules in no way supports either claim.
edit: i'm in no way encouraging people to play on a mac or pc. Just pointing out untruths. You may be banned. That's all. Someone already posted a counterexample to the will be banned proposition. In order to show that someone likely will be banned you need to back that up with some statistical data.
just to be clear it IS against the terms of service of the game to use an emulator, SC support would take appropriate action and that could be a ban or it could be a warning or other actions, it's 100% their decision.
A separate issue is the forum where again it IS against the forum rules to discuss ways to exploit Supercell games and emulators can be used to do this. The mod team are acting on emulator related posts appropriately and again the action that we do or do not take is a decision mods sadly need to take several times a day - sometimes that decision is as a team sometimes it is taken individually - again we take painstaking steps to be neutral and judge posts solely on the facts.
I hope that helps.
Understood. Sorry if it seemed like I was crossing any lines. I was merely being pedantic and correcting a non-essential and seemingly self-righteous thread. It had everything to do with language and logic and i was in no way encouraging people to break any rules or terms of service. Edited previous post to clarify.
