It's called trolling. Usually done by doing the things the OP says not to do. Adding a disco near an exposed TH with teslas around it is double the fun.

Raiding for resources and halfway through realized that you can't succeed so you that the exposed TH with your last minion. Usually followed by telling others that you are aiming for cups.

Pushing for Masters and failed to get one star one a base, but managed to get 200k/200k, followed by telling others that you are going for resources.

And many more...

Like I said, I can go for days without anyone stealing my resources so I don't need the shield. I'll still get the shield eventually though because it's partially protected only. And also, I know very well the need for free shielding when your base is not very strong yet. I've played this game since 2012 and definitely there was a point where I had to place my TH outside unprotected.

So you guys are saying the third way is "saving face". Saying you're pushing but in the last second you're "farming". But...saying you're pushing but in the last second saying you're going for "resources".

Ultimately that falls under farming or pushing.

But I understand the gray area you guys are suggesting to.

Still, there's only two ways: farming or pushing.

I've farmed inferno towers and xbows before.

As well as builder huts.
