The 5 Mistakes That Farmers Make

Notice that I excluded S.S in the traps

If someone wants to trap their th, let them. When I farm, I never rely on the th to get my 1 star. In most cases, it is not difficult to get 50% of a base while getting the resources too.

It is fairly simple to test the th for traps, bombs and teslas with a few barbs and if you find they are around the th, that only helps your attack of their base. I like it when defenders trap the th, since I now know they aren't part of the base. Also, most of the time, attacking near the th is not a good idea, since it has so many hps and many people trap them, or leave them within range of other defensive structures, which can thin out your troops.

I can't tell you how many attacks I've made where the only structures left at the end are the th and teslas standing uselessly around it. I bet those videos don't get shown around the clan.:cool:

Attack: I go for the loot and often smash the TH in the corner last. Stupid. IMO.

Defence: My TH has 3700 hp, it's strong and great as a bait. Let the enemis shoot at it while my defence shoot them down. There are other ways to play but having it in the middle or corner. Open your mind and think by yourself for once.

1: There are two extremes: Th as protected as possible with less focus on protecting resources (which I refer to as "pushing") and Th completely unprotected (which I refer to as "farming"). I never said anything about these being the only ways to play, as many use hybrid bases. My point was, as you approach the extreme of "farming", your base should demonstrate less and less of these 5 things.

2: Why else would you have your Th outside your base?

3: Good point. Supercell should probably make lightning spells not collect resources, but that's another issue.

4: Not necessarily, but I've found it to be the most efficient.

its a waste of one of your best defenses (teslas) also as a farmer all my bombs and traps going off cost upwards of 100k

CC is the highest Defense building in the game. It's stronger than an inferno lvl3 and has higher hitpoints and range(depending on what you load into it). Of course you want CC defending your base.

Protect resources is the number 1 priority isn't it? That's what everyone is after aside from trophies(which you are giving away anyway) and to do so you would want free shield.
