Why L12 mines is a bad idea for loot.

Other than the loot people collect from their own mines, this will not make a massive difference unless SC allow us to attack abandoned bases more often.

To put that another way, people typically attack players with healthy amounts of loot in mines / pumps and yes, these bases would appear to have lower amounts of resource while upgrades are ongoing...however, I dont think many people see these abandoned bases on a regular basis because of the way SC manage abandoned bases...

I would like to attack nothing but abandons. That would really help players save for resource as no one would be attacking the playing players...lol

abandoned - i assume that is a base that has a full mine...so at least 24hrs with no collection / log on

Yes thats true true but what would you prefer bad loot for a week and amazing loot for a year?

OR

Amazing loot for a week and horrible loot for a year?

So really L12 Mines is actually a good thing for the game.

I disagree with what you said about no significant change. That 200k base with lvl 11 gold mines would suddenly be 300k with lvl 12 mines if they made them big enough... Rough guess.

Thinking out loud at this point would the people with full collectors be not playing simply because the loot sucks? And then when all the sudden we can upgrade mines and get tons of loot these people are all playing? Now there is less loot than we actually started with?

Idk but maybe that's what would happen? No idea though;)

When the players look inactive - ie mines filling up, SC will move them to the back of your search queue...so its not as if we will be raidin empty bases all day. I see maybe 5 inactive bases all day, some have already been raided...now compared to the number of inactive players which must be many 100,000s if not over a million, its not a lot at all. I used to see more but have no idea what has changed...

My point is more loot in inactive bases wont really help us cos we dont see many inactive bases as it is...well, i dont at least any way

The game simply need more resources to be injected into the economy. And it should be done by adding extra levels in mines and also increasing the loot bonuses more (so people get motivated to go higher in trophies).

Think about this, a maxed mine now produces 3000/hr x 24 hours = 72,000/d x 6 mines = 432,000/day

TH9 upgrades cost is 5m per piece in average. This does not even take into account walls.

Now, if there was no raiding, one would never be able to upgrade anything. And before anyone says “oh, but this game is about raiding” remember that we will simply be circulating loot around. Some will get more and some less, depending on how much you play. The only real injection in the game is from the mines of inactive bases but SC makes sure to remove even those.

If you take a look at the overall game design, it would make a lot of sense if L12 Mines came at TH8 with 4K/hr production and L13 mines at TH9 with 5k/hr production. Having changed the loot system this makes quite a lot sense.

6x L12 mines would = 288k per 12 hours for a TH8 loot cap is currently 300k.
6x L13 mines would = 360k per 12 hours for a TH9 loot cap is currently 350k
7x L13 mines would = 420k per 12 hours for a TH10 loot cap is currently 400k

Fixing the loot system to allow larger raiding hauls the higher TH's makes the system further expandable, you could for instance now start looking at increasing the storage size again to 4M per storage for a TH11 and adding L14 mines producing 6.5k/hr

7x L14 mines would = 546k per 12 hours for a TH11 and set the loot cap at 500k

You could then look at adding upgrades for TH11 costing between 7-12M an upgrade.

If Supercell then squashes up builder times making sure that max level upgrades are still at between 7-14 days you would see that progression from TH8 and 9 would increase dramatically but Th10-11 still remain challenging.

Keep pushing the model and you will find the game continues to extend, but you keep the game alive, turning what used to be hard content into easier more accessible content while introducing new hard content for the veterans.

But after 5 days loot will be great + people who will upgrade their mines are active players so i dont think they will have good amount of loot in mines
